German can sound harsh to foreign people. If you take the time getting to know this language though, you will see that it is a very beautiful language! And it is not as harsh as most people think. I am a native German speaker and I find other languages often a lot worse when it comes to pronunciation and I speak multiple languages. Every language is beautiful though, in its own way. But German is one of my favorite languages! I appreciate everyone taking the time getting to know German! :-)

I am aspiring to learn German. Unfortunately, German classes in Ireland are... hard to come by.

I've decided to try to learn it (or atleast some of it) through, mostly, phrases, names of popular things, and songs. I'll try to get them translated, listen to it again, and see how that goes. Any advice? I already know some (I think most) of the language rules, so that *shouldn't* be to much of a problem.

PS: Going to Germany isn't very practical now, or for the for-seeable future...

OMG, This song played on the radio a lot when I was in Germany (on 106.4 RTL) & I loved it so much! And when I came back home, I searched for it, but I didn't know the lyrics & I don't know any German, so I never found it.
