We get tons of action films starring men every year, and nobody says anything about the alleged repetitiveness of the concept ("WHAT? another guy playing an action hero???"). It's the fact that an action film stars a woman what makes people scream, "OMG, again???" But the reality is that we rarely see action films with ladies in the lead.
