This is actually the pivotal act of Jesus in His work of our redemption. Adam made a wrong choice, Jesus made the right one - so painful. The film was faithful to the vision of Sr Emmerich, although toned down for cruelty. Please would everyone pray for poor Mel Gibson who is suffering terrible counterattacks from Satan for this great piece of Christian worship.

Satan in real life is an angelic spirit, ageless compared to us, and neither male or female. He is a fallen archangel in permanent revolt against his creator and the original liar. He is not "cool": he is opposed to our very existence, and out to destroy us before we attain salvation.

The Passion wasn't such a great film RELIGIOUSLY, because the debate between the Catholics and Christians view on Gibson's adaptation of the New Testament itself. It is, HOWEVER, a superb artistic adaptation, with some of the most perfectly filmed, lit, timed, and scored sequences in film, EVER.

The Italian actRESS who played Lucifer is Rosalinda Celentano. It may LOOK like David Bowie's Aladdin Sane, but it's a woman. Damn good special effects they got at 21st Century Fox, lemme tell ya.
