The "ringin open chords" are known as "suspended chords".

Not a bad effort but the second chord after the F# is a B7/A play an A chord but on the 4th fret. Dean DeLeo uses a lot of dissonant chords and ringing open strings which I love. The opening chord is the same as the one played after the B at the end of the chorus it's the same as an A barre chord but put your pinky on the 3rd string 8th fret. Try that it'll sound better believe me I've got the transcription in front of me and I've seen him playing it.

Its an epiphone les paul not a custom. And it is called a tremelo. So u and ur guitar playing friends obviously arent very good.

Technically it's called a "Vibrato Bar" ... but leo fender mislabeled it as a "Tremelo Bar" ... Vibrato is when you change the pitch by moving the strings in and out or up and down, whereas Tremelo is simply strumming extremely fast and repeatively... i guess it looks like "you and your friends obviously arent very good" ethier :P
