It's not uncommon for people to do that sort of thing. I know a girl from New Jersey who's a Minnesota Vikings fan and was even wearing a Minnesota Vikings jacket. She's just a fan of the team. Just like a friend I had in high school who was an Indiana Pacers fan, and we're both from New York.
