Ohh man .. I have been searching for this song since 1998... First herd it in Europe on the HRXXL Radio Station... This came out when Mike Humphried & Glenn Willson were big..
someone says "haha techno has come a long way from this"..what the fuck!!!you WERNT THERE THEN OBVIOUSLY...techno went up its own arse circa "94....it had all been done by then...Jeff Mills live early 90s...you CANT "progress" from there.....
Honestly, I only clicked this because I wanted to see some funny comments. I was expecting things like "Where can I buy those headphones? LUUL" and stuff like that.
@Pitchplus8 This picture has been taken during his performance in Chicago in 1995. So It's not that "Shitpicture" as you think. And It has nothing to do with Gueatta. Maybe you have, since you mentioned it. Asshole!
@vieeN How old are you ?! This picture here is never taken from 1995. And it is an commercial shitpicture that u see in every 4th Housevideo here. And dude do you want to tell me something personal ? ;-) No ?! so be quiet...
@Pitchplus8 If you don't like the visual, then create what you want to see instead of dissing those that put tracks on here for people to listen too. I don't care what it looks like, it could have a picture of a defecating dog for all I care, but it does have this track. Ding Dong!
i remember hearing this for my 1st time at 1515 in detroit. man those were the days. real underground detroit history. house parties inthe basement and so many friends.
Many a time at the Que club in Brum I would be dancing and humming this tune in my head in a trance like state even though the tune had finished 30 mins earlier.
I'm 19 so I didn't grow up with this but I do know my stuff about Electronic dance music in general. I think newcomers to the scene will only hear this on Youtube and think well this is shit, tbh when hearing it on here it just sounds so well nothing... but you have to trust me when hearing this in a club it can blow your mind away, it just somehow does. It's like 'hows your evening so far' by josh wink/lil loius. Class. Look at the video when this tune is played at awakenings.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
What a load of shit. This is obviously made by some nigger swinging around his flaccid dick and by accident hitting his keyboard with Fruity Loops still open. My god this sucks ass.
this is the real thing not the crapy music that u listen today that is all comercial poor stuff, jeff mills is the father of techno so show some respect music good old days kids this days dont know what was the real disco times today we see discos going down to trash i love when dumm kids want to teach how to make music lolololo
Probably the most overrated track in EDM history. This is a track so mediocre that if it had been released 4 years later it wouldn't even be close to how popular it is now.
@vieeN I know, that's not the point. I think the quality of a track should under no circumstances be measured by the time it was produced. For example, most people will agree "Born Slippy" is a 'good track' as well as 'a classic' and so do I. Because if it had been produced now (15 years later) it would still be as great as it has always been and would become the classic it is now in the next 15 years. This would definitely NOT be the case for The Bells.
This is a classic man, don't start talking bullshit here, go whine somewhere else if u don't like this track. If he had produced it yesterday, I would've still loved the track. It really doesn't matter when, where or how something is produced.
@hqql mediocre? please. then what do you call all the McTrance and Eurodance nonsense from the last 10 years? oh, it's all so original, isn't it? YEAH RIGHT
@TheCharzieGirl be that as it may, I never said nor implied otherwise, it's completely irrelevant. I don't know why you are referring to POP styles of music while this discussion is about Techno. Perhaps you have me confused with someone who doesn't know what he's talking about, but that only says something about the people you spend time with.
@YCETV A song isn't dependent on a huge name dropping it to make it a good tune. But support from someone like him certainly doesn't do any harm, haha.
@hqql I beg to differ, I'm 16 and was never around when this was released so it's not like nostalgia has anything to do with it for me at least. It's structure is very simple and mechanical but that's in part why I like it. the part that comes in at 0:57 in particular hits you in a great way.
@hqql Electronic music is all about being at the right place at the right time. Listen to some classic chicago house. Yeah, if it wasn't released when it was, everyone would have hated it, called it shitty production, etc... BUT WHAT MATTERS IS THAT IT WAS FIRST
