  • Fuck! The tab is not available in my country:(

  • Thank you! very useful video!)

  • good man

  • i cant do bar chords =(

  • thanks for this video !

it isnt that hard , now i can play it !

  • This really is tough, but it is every guys dream to play... And it's good to try something difficult and push your limits a bit to learn more... I'm told it will all eventually flow smooth if one works hard enough at it... I'm really enjoying the pain of this one myself... The lesson is well done, even for a complete newbie like me... I'll get it in time.. Thanks for sharing this man...

  • that was a really useful vid, thanks

    - a guitar n00b :)

  • @XxMevaxKISSxX you can play this song if you're playing for. 3

  • hihi You will have a fun time with me

  • lol i love uk

  • would this be concidered a hard song please?

  • @Pendor42 Yes, this is too hard for beginners. Google search "Easy Guitar Songs For Beginner Guitar

Free Online Video Guitar Lessons" and click on the first Guitar-Music-Theory result.

  • @Pendor42 no its not ! i just started playing guitar like 3 months ago (again) and i just picked up this song on for tabs and just did it. now i know the whole song :D very easy you just have to know how to move your fingers and pick at the strings

  • Sweet video brother. Your play is very nice bro. This video is very informative & put together beautifully. You broke it down & made it a whole lot easier. I've seen the other videos on this, but they don't explain it as well as you have done, & only because of this video, I'm picking-up on this more rapidly. Thanks for a job well done. Keep up the good work & god-bless man! Peace.

  • Dadgagd tuning or normal tuning?

  • @jobiproducer Always standard tuning unless otherwise stated.

  • Thank cause some other videos go too fast so...LETS GO!!!

  • ehm uk rules

  • thank you very much

  • kool video

  • plugfather . com has some great lessons also, as well as an awesome javascript guitar tuner!

  • "Sorry, this tablature isn't available in your geographic region.

One of the bummers of selling legal tablature, is that we need to make sure it's legal everywhere, and for some reason the publisher doesn't want us sellling it in your region. Sorry man!"

    F**k That! Anyway thanks man

  • thank you a lotttt

  • THANK YOU. Helped me out a lot, I kept playing it really choppily.

  • thanks man, the way i learned wasnt with the barred C at the beginning which explains why it sounded off-plus now i know the chord aswell, all the other videos i saw just teach the first few seconds or theyre just attention junkies in their room showing how brilliant their guitar skills are with the solo-anyway thanks dude, you beat marty shwartz this time :)

  • Question : Is that a electric or acoustic guitar ? .. because the strings are close to the neck like an electric one but sounds pretty much like an acoustic .. :-?

  • @Denyel95 :)) I asked before watching the picking part .. dumb question now

  • @Denyel95 It's a Line 6 Variax acoustic electric guitar. I believe I recorded this with light gauge strings.

  • new teacher please

  • wooow thanks!!! I learned, now I know how to play stairway to heaven! thaaanks!

  • nice!

  • Any idea onhow to play this with a pick -.-?

  • @MrN00BER You can use the pick in place of your thumb and then use one of your remaining fingers in place of your index. Or just toss the pick aside and play it like I do.

  • @GuitarMusicTheoryTab Imtoo new for this i guess that kind of travispicking / different picking is too high above my level i guess.

  • @MrN00BER what i did as i first learned it i picked it until there was a chord, then played the chord by using both my pick and my middle finger, and that's basically it. hope this helps, and good luck :)

  • @Chyaman09 Thanks m8 ^^ i appriciate the support/help :) i got pretty thin&weak fingers so i use the middle finger for holding the pick, if i can manage ill use 3rd finger, ill let u know if it will be ok xD Thx :D

  • @MrN00BER Yeah, I play it with my pick as usual between thumb and index. then everytime you see 2 strings played together, use the ring finger to hit the high string, I believe that's actually how Jimmy paige plays it. Or when it comes ot the part that goes like x0x21x then hit the 0 with the pick, the 2 with middle finger and 1 with ring finger.

  • @Kingpin0072001uk Thank you verymuch :D i will give it a try :D

  • @MrN00BER

Let me know how you get on because I'm actually quite interested.

it's called Hybrid picking and it's not too hard, but can be very challenging to start with. But when you get it down it will open up a whole new world of playing. I've got a few examples on my channel, "One mans dream" is quite heavy on the hybrid picking.

  • @Kingpin0072001uk i just started taking lessons fmo 2 different places and i wont have much time for learning this tuff on my own anymore :P, if the 'guitar-homeworks' are 2 easy then i may/may not practice this :) if i have the time i will practice it :) -and let u know :D

  • FML my han disnt flexible enough :(

  • I have to learn this!!! just after that I can die happy

  • @GuitarMusicTheoryTab i thought you were using a electro harmonix pog for that 12 string sound for a second lol

  • I've never been so impressed with a video lesson before, you put in all the little pieces of information like the barred chords the riff is derived from, and went through each chord carefully, a definite like+favourite

  • Su-su-su-siiiiick!!!!!

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUCKIN JIMMY PAGE

  • WhT NO SOLO?????

  • what kind of effects are you using?

  • @IceColdVampire88 No effects. But the Line 6 Variax acoustic guitar has a 12 string setting that I used for the strumming part.

  • my finger don't bend this way lol,

  • @BigGuknowme Keep practicing.

  • even fucking tabs are blocked are blocked by media mongrels now my god

    capitalism is a dirty business

  • ah so i dont have to stretch my hands like a frog to play this on guitar pro

  • there once was a full cover og this song on youtube, with a girl plying both the acoustic and solo.. i think the user was guitar guru or something like that... can anybody tell me were the video are now, and if was by "guitarguru"???

  • i play better.

  • Thanx dude, in Belgium it's almost impossible to see the tabs, so i'm trying to learn it with your video ;)

  • Spider fingers!!!

  • Where can i get the TAB for this. Thanks

  • @instructorracoon Follow the instruction in the video description.

  • @instructorracoon ultimate guitar . com

  • @instructorracoon Try Google. I hear it's very good at finding stuff.

  • @instructorracoon ultimate guitar tabs. com (google it) its all free. just ignore stuff that tells you to pay

    :)

  • Thankz for the lesson u really good

  • woooohooooooooooooo

  • hëhê_ÂÑýöNÉ_wàNnã_chãt_wÌth_mÈ_Î_fÊËl_sÔ_lÓÑÉlY_tõdãY▲

  • can you give me the name of the guitar please???

  • @GliAnnoiati Line 6 Variax acoustic.

  • Is there a special reason why you don't rest your index, middle and ring finger each on one of the thinnest strings and use the thumb only for the lowest three strings? Cause that's what you will probably learn in most of the classical music schools and even I who rather plays electric guitar do that when fingerpicking. It's just faster and you need to think less about which finger to take :-y

  • @FrankDr3bin Using a thumb and three fingers is a good approach and usually what I do. But this finger picking pattern is so simple that just a thumb and one finger works fine. I kept it simple in case viewers were new to using their fingers like this.

  • Great Vid

  • This will definitely be useful once I finish learning chords (one day...)

  • worst thing ever

  • thanks you.

  • great lesson bro. really appreciate it, one of the best ones i've had to pleasure of viewing.

  • Thanx for the help!!! #OMG

  • whats the name of firts chord?

  • @tlachues4 A minor.

  • thanks, I was looking for the that part on the second strech of the tutorial :D

  • i thought this had tabs

  • There's no was my index can push down 3 strings without it hurting my hand like hell.

  • im a freshman in highschool and im gonna start playing acoustic pretty soon here. any advice for an inexpensive but not a low quality guitar? im thinking an ibanez V200S? (i like guitars with black or dark finishes)

nice job on the vid too

  • @Chimpaliciousness Anything with a truss rod and where the strings are not too far off the fretboard will work.

  • @GuitarMusicTheoryTab oh thanks man. haha im pretty new to this. whats a truss rod? and since im still looking into buying a guitar im not sure if i should get an electric or acoustic? my friend joe is selling his electric esquier w/ amp and everything for $50

  • @Chimpaliciousness Google "Easy Guitar Songs For Beginner Guitar - Free Online Video Guitar Lessons" and click on the first link. Scroll down to where it says "Beginner Guitar Questions."

  • @GuitarMusicTheoryTab okay thanks dog i appreciate it

  • @Chimpaliciousness I got a Fender Starcaster Acoustic/electric. Its a nice beginner guitar and mine wasen't that expensive.

  • @Chimpaliciousness yep find a guitar that you feel comfartable with and on learning how to play it. i taught myself after i was taught to read tabs i hated people telling mme what to learn and stuff so get a guitar you feel completely comfortable with and learn in a way that suits you. peace out bro

  • @Chimpaliciousness Go to a few pawn shops, write down the guitar make/model and google it. You'll probably find a 600-1000$ guitar for $100-$200 in great condition

  • @AtrumExcessum ok thanks. i broke my wrist in 2 places the other day and i dont get my cast off until the 31st...

  • ht tp

  • Wow man, that software you have to make it sound like a 12-string guitar is incredible! Very thorough walk-through, and awesome suggestions!

  • This is fantastic! I could watch this and play it!

  • This is fantastic! I could watch this and play it!

  • My index can't play the 3 strings good:/ so I just move it quickly

  • It is incredible that people will take the time

To find fault in all things. This mans teaching

Record speaks for itself. Oddly enough I have not taken advantage of all his free material which is abundant. The dvd's which i purchased illustrate his teaching skills and elegantly clear up many muddled misconceptions.

    Doctormedico

  • I really like how you broke that down! You make a good instructor

  • Yeah okay, there's no way my index can cover three strings lol. That hurts

  • how, in the second part, do you make the guitar sound like a twelve string?

    anyway, nice video

  • @Anitrop The guitar I'm using, a Line 6 Variax acoustic, has software built in that models the sound of a 12 string.

  • Lovely guitar. What make is it please?

  • @MrPed61 Line 6 Variax acoustic.

  • if you like this playing, i have tips at theguitarmegasite*com

  • You have very slender hands for a man which i belive is a necesity for a guitarist

  • Hi great lesson. Thx!! It has been really helpfull. I have watched several but this is the most straight forward a simple to follow.

  • You're missing a part. But good video besides that.

  • ¿como tokar escalera al cielo?...chekenlo en este video, sta muy detallado y claro.

  • this is really great, but arn't there times in the intro, at the beginning of each chord, where you pluck the bottem and top of the chord structure to give a harmony to it?

  • @aryehguitarplayer Yes. It's there. Watch again. It starts on the second chord.

  • Thanks man!

  • and'''''??????''??

  • hy body, so well. thx a lot, but, and the rest of music? Plz, post video. bye.

  • WTf i am so stupid! I cant play this!

    Bob

  • Most importantly i definatly learnt how to play the beginning to the greatest song ever id like to say thankyou and again FOR FREE unbelievable!!! Easy to follow thoroughly explained visualy perfect for me and hearing you play it brought back some great memories. I am often surprised at how much i also learn from others comments even idiotic ones because they do promote discussion further exposing talents usualy via the "video" poster

  • Thanks for the detailed explaination. I'll watch all your videos

  • damn cant play cords

  • Keep up the practice mate, its worth it. Once you learn this tune it will be like riding a bike, trust me. Once you learn a song that is not made up of straight power chords you will want to keep learning.

  • Thanx bro,I got it

  • I love the sound from 6:34 when you strum all the strings. Do all acoustics sound the same or is it just yours?

  • I'm using a Line 6 Variax acoustic with a 12-string effect built in.

  • So does that mean a Yamaha Apx 700 wont have the same sound effect?

  • I'm sorry I'm not familiar with that make and model.

  • Comment removed

  • It wont, its not a special effects one like yours. But it will have the same tonal sound right?

  • in my opintion the finger picking techinque is bad. u should use all fingers exept the pinky and not only the pointer.

  • I think guitar players should start simple and gradually progress to using more fingers.

  • I disagree. Its hard to go from 1-2 fingers to four if you're too use to it. Better learn it right the first time around.

  • How do you go straight to 4 fingers if you haven't tried 1 or 2? And what do you mean by "learn it the right way"? Wes Montgomery used only his thumb. John Mayer fingerpicks with mainly his thumb and index. Both players sound great to me.

  • I should add this, if your hand naturally takes to using multiple fingers, then go with it. But most players need time to develop their skill one finger at a time. Also, how you play something is not as important as how something sounds. Nothing is bad technique if it sounds good.

  • I actually teach finger picking to people. This way is good if your not going to play music a lot, maybe for parties and such. I have had countless students who didn't get harder finger picking songs up to the right tempo, be cos they only used one or two fingers. I'm not saying this doesn't sound good, just that this song has a slow tempo, and if you get to use to the easy way the harder songs become like twice as hard.

But hey that's just me. Use the easy songs to practice for the hard ones.

  • I actually use a thumb and three fingers when I fingerpick, but I didn't start out that way. I purposely simplified my technique in this video with beginner fingerpickers in mind. Players, like you, who are experienced fingerpickers don't need any explanation.

  • Thanks a lot man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Favourited!!!

  • Thanks for the video man, awesome learnt a new song in 30 minutes!

  • what sort of guitar are you useing to play this as it looked like an accoustic but sounds closer to an electric or an elctric accoustic?
