To Sega's credit, the game works well without most of the dialogue; it makes it a pantomime instead of a play, that's all. I guess if you're lazy/low on time, you may as well cut it out, but once you know it's missing, it feels really nice to see the whole thing.
Ah, that was a very nice touch adding the human tear down of the background. It's like they were either not aware of it the whole time and just deconstructed it on time as usual, or everything was just part of the play anyway.
Someone I knew used to have Scheherazade, it was an interesting mix of RPG elements, and it has some very awesome music..
Another game that had unnecessary changes was Raistar.

Let's meet the last boss!
Keep your head low, you pinhead!
Eat laser! Wall crush!
What? You beat it? HOW?
It was a badge all along?
Colon Right bracket!
Well, the play's over!
But there's one last twist to it!
HA HA! CASTLE GO!

It's very simple. The island is the background is Angel Island, Headdy was after the Master Emerald, and... wait, where am I again?

Heheh, this whole game being nothing more than a puppet show, Headdy was never in any real danger.

I can't believe the english version of this has no text. Americans are so dumb sometimes.

Maybe I'm confusing it for a different game, but wasn't it called The Magic of Scheherazade? I remember playing that as a kid.

...it totally is Magic of Scheherazade. No idea how I messed that up. At least I spelled Scheherazade correctly.
