  • soo ahead of its time...

  • FUCK EMINEM STOP BRINGING HIS DUMBASS UP ON EVERY WHITE RAPPERS PAGE!! ITS LIKE YALL MUTHA FUCKAS OBSESSED WITH DUDE. HES A SELL OUT RAPPER< THIS DUDE IS HIP HOP PERIOD.

  • Fuck if he's the best. Eminem did some ill shit as well, so has El-p, Aesop Rock, Cage, even the most debated; Lil Wayne, did spit fire as well and so on and so on... I like em all regardless of skin colour. Hatin' on the mainstream is the new mainstream so fuck you, be an individual!

  • @kwyjibosinkus In terms of @ THEIR ABSOLUTE PRIME, Em: 96/97-02/early 03 is HANDS DOWN the DOPEST & I've heard NUMEROUS ILL white MCs agree w/ this. From Diabolic (REAL ill underground white MC), 2 ILL Bill, 2 Apathy, 2 Copywrite, 2 Brother Ali (I say he's white, even though he's an albino and SOME say he's black. Not true), 2 Slug. RESEARCH quotes from ALL TIME legends like G Rap, Rakim, Nas, Monch, Common, Redman 2 name a few on EM IN HIS PRIME b-c in diff ways they ALL say he's 1 of the GOAT

  • In terms of @ THEIR ABSOLUTE ILLEST, Em: 96/97-02/early 03 is HANDS DOWN the DOPEST & I've heard NUMEROUS nice white MCs agree w/ this. From Diabolic (REAL ill underground white MC), 2 ILL Bill, 2 Apathy, 2 Copywrite, 2 Brother Ali (I say he's white, even though he's an albino and SOME say he's black. Not true), 2 Slug. RESEARCH quotes from ALL TIME legends like Kool G Rap, Rakim, Nas, Monch, Common, Redman to name a few on EM IN HIS PRIME b-c in diff ways they ALL say he's one of the illest

  • @jthesnake77 apathy? really?

  • I am 34, black and from NYC. Fuck race, EL-P is one of the best MC's I have ever heard.

  • woah, so el p totally sounds like mf grimm. except a little better.

  • :-)

  • JamieMELENE aka White Inches!!!!!!!do you think this is a reference to a WILLIE D ryme? EL PRODUCTO

  • 111 vs 1 ... u looooseeee

  • El-P is one dope lyricist.

  • wtf happened to hip hop? this was the golden era

  • someone put this up for DL!

  • @tattamarigaloo get vdownloader

  • Color does matter. If the majority of people who buy hip hop is 70% white then obviously more consumers are going to culturally identify with a white rapper than a black rapper. Most of the popular mainstream black rappers today are nothing more than minstrel acts propagated by the industry (black people don't own viacom). I really don't think when you get to a certain class of rap that anyone's better they just have different styles and people are receptive to them depending on their tastes.

  • When you hear good hip hop not rap music, color shouldnt even come across your brain...

  • @klf9228 thats y only real headz recognize... wannabe fakes have no idea how to act when they hear the real hip hop...

  • 1st off there are TOO MANY dope white MCs to count. 2nd color dont matter. That myth is dead. honestly most black rappers today suck. It's all about proving something instead of proving just something. EL P is just the realest dude in the game. He has never compromised. The tightest rappers have made some stupid crossover trax. Fellille is right, except Em fell off along time ago for me. Once you go major your style is compromised but I respect Em for removing the myth that whites cant rap.

  • somebody can tell me the original sample????

  • Why does every hip hop conversation get reduced to who is the best.

  • the 1 person that gave this thumbs down is a DICK. this joint is FIRE. give me a thumbs up if u feel me. CO-FLOW FA LIFE!

  • spaccaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • Black white don't matter... el-p rocks...

This from Greece where peoples is fucked regardless of colour... thank you IMF

  • dammnn smoooth

  • el p is kinda weird. good beats tho.

  • and youve probly never heard this but thats why your lacking in culture!

  • damn th1s shit 1s s1ck 3s3 hell yeah is this El P 94?

  • this and 8 steps are the smoothest co flow tracks

  • "Believe when I rock even Spock 'll catch feelings."

  • I got the Funcrusher Plus LP on fuckin vinyl. Sickness. Sometimes I just like to stare at it, lol.

  • el-p threw this on the new funcrusher+ rerelease vinyl

  • this aint on funcrusher plus....shit is extinct unless you got it on vtape or wax

  • you said it best homie thats the truth !! \\//

  • @drgoreface ...and Freestyle Fellowship

  • You can't ignore Ultramagnetic MCs, from Critical Beatdown to the Four Horsemen. People forget they played there own instruments ( Kool Keith's a sick bassist) and Ced Gee is credited off the record for producing the majority of BDP's Criminal Minded...

  • yeah, they are very unique too. they had the funkiest and most original concepts in the 80s.

  • damn i didnt know keith played any instruments. but yeah, ultra was very influential

  • you all need to listen to indivisableprincipal.I QUOTE AND CORRECT.hiphop would be lost without co flow

  • this is a fuckin great tune, ooops my cock just sneazed

  • fuckin sick, greatings from Poland, respect.

  • ppl who dont know Co-flow are lost ...

    .....just my opinion though

  • straight ill

  • Nice. I never heard this one. I wish Co Flow never broke up.

  • absolutely keynote beats and rhymes of their time.

  • buena rola.

  • this beat is the 5th element of hip hop.

  • big juss is one of the dopest

  • Definetly... during that era.

    Poor peoples day sucked ass.

  • @skalanthrax Poor People's Day was sick - The overall mix down sucked though.

  • Bonified Classic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Classic!!!

  • maaan this is ill

  • Yo I could chill to this beat all DAY!

  • Nice work. keep it up. mean time come for social media marketing for esteembpo**com

  • oh man. every time i listen to this song it reminds me of 11th grade. great times

  • hardest elp ever gone on a track, ever. and im a die hard fan of def jux..bigups manhattan

  • Negatory, my man. The hardest El-P ever came was on 89.9 Detrimental/Vital Nerve. That was pure raw...so raw you gotta say rawr like the GZA.

  • El-P is a genius ;)

  • It is hard to put anyone over a giant like Eminem, but I think I agree with whomever said that El-P is the best white rapper. The man is a true hiphop legend, and a mogul in his own right. He is at the top of a game that he made up the rules to. He never jumped through anyone elses' hoops to get where he is, but instead succeeded on a strong work ethic and confidence in his knowledge of how hiphop artists feel about hiphop. It is the latter that has brought def jux such a mighty roster.

  • Uh..true, yeah i guess...but where is he now? Not to say hes not around, just not fond at all of what hes become and/or doing

  • You're not fond of the entire def jux record label?

    ....

That's a lot of awesome to not be fond of.

  • like who? DEL is the shit. Canibal Ox comes to mind...but anything else? Dont you dare fuckin bring up Aesop rock with his jibberish nonsense, not to say FLOAT and Labor Days werent dope. But I still stand with what i said.

  • Cage, Mr. Lif, Rob Sonic, Can Ox, Aesop Rock (even if you don't feel him), Company Flow, C Rayz Walz, RJD2, the Perceptionists, Murs all pressed shit through Def Jux and were label mates or still are. That's a pretty fucking ridiculous roster. Only Babygrande, Rhymeslayers and Rawkus could fuck with a roster like that, and thats Rawkus way back in the day when they had Company Flow.

You couldn't name many more sick dominating labels.

  • You forgot Fondle Em'.

  • I'd rather hear clever, artful abstraction that literal stupidity. Being able to follow every word of a verse does not make it good, just as not getting all of it does not make it bad. Poems have poetry in them, after all. Its interesting how offended people sometimes get by things they don't understand. You're all like "I wanted to listen to music, not think!" How dull.

  • "I wanted to listen to music, not think!" ....

never said that, i used listen to sole and buck 65 talk about poetry in rhymes. Ive listened and thought about aesop rock, i mean what do you want me to say, you say artful abstraction? to some degree, but thats just my opinion about him.

  • Comment removed
