  • Many, many thanks for this video. I have a wonderfully working Sony turntable, but had turned it on its side while installing another component. In that process, the belt got tangled. A non mechanical person, I never would have figured out how to reposition the belt without your video. Thanks to you, I am now enjoying an Al Jolson record.

  • @legacy370 glad it helped you..enjoy..

  • @jmonee1991 no prob dude..

  • I F*********ING LOVE YOU! i went to the store i got my turntable from and we struggled to get an idea of where and HOW the belt went on. i had a feeling i was over thinking it. I'm an idiot for not thinking of the simplest thing.

SO THANK YOU A BILLIONNNNNNN for showing the 'secret" to it. I really appreciate it as the turntable was a birthday gift! :D

  • Hey, I'm trying to fix my dad's old turntable, and I used this as guide for dismantling the platter and belt, but when I put the platter back on it started scratching against the body of the turntable, as if it's too low. I was keeping track of my parts the whole time, so I don't think something would have managed to disappear, are there any special configurations or anything for the platter when you put it back on (the platter is metal btw)?

    Thanks, anything would be appreciated
