@sharadowasdr My problem was that it cut out some of the humour out of it .... Tintin humour is more witty than anything else .... I doubt that'd appeal to American tastes ;-)
@themoviedoc I think so cuz in the sequel there should be Calculus. In any case he was only introduced into the Tintin Universe in red rakham's treasure. He's the one who invented the submarine which they use to discover the treasure under water. Also with no arch villain in the scene *( I don't recall that comic had a villain figure ) I doubt there'd be too much action involved. Or .. they could twist the plot and involve the Bird brothers in a race for the treasure... and the SS Perie :)
@sharadowasdr I was just thinking that. Your point makes a ton of sense. I really loved reading the comics growing up, was amazed by the 1990s cartoon and am waiting with baited breath for the film's release.
@sharadowasdr Well I remember some guns here and there, but it was a bit more violent than Hergé (not that I hate violence in movies, but Hergé always said that his stuff was for 7 years old and up).
Ok I'll tum it up

@sharadowasdr Maybe the sequel will have more humor. The characters and the universe are already established.
