well actually, a 4WD should have faster accel than a RWD, so if the gears are set long enough, you may be able to get a quick drag car out of a 4WD. Plus RWD is more unstable on a track.... However, the GT-R's ATESSA system gives it the benefits of a 4WD with up to 0-100 torque split between front and rear. But i have to say, the Viper and the Vette must be decently fast to post times in the 7s

actually it depends on the 4wd system.On the gtr ,when launch control is engaged it sends all the power to the rear.on an audi it doesnt.the power is evenly distributed to all four wheels no matter what so it is slower off the line

The track time is fully justified, the car is build with more tech and care than Porsches flagship. And if that isn't enough, ZR1 Corvette wich costs as much as Carrera S (or GT3 in EU) spanked even Carrera GT. Viper did the same. To Porsche makers: Bring back 928!!!Make a V8 FR car for a price of Carrera and make it faster than GT2. It is possible, you guys just have to do it.
