I remember watching that match with my family, though I was only 6 years old. One of the most thrilling matches in history and all my favourite German football players and childhood heros included. And then Schumacher ruined it all. Don't know if that would still be possible , at least much less hatred today in international matches as for example Holland vs. Germany. The players know each other from many other matches and they seem to have more respect.
