Is there any way to map the save state feature to the gamepad? E.g. in ZSNES, I've got my Xbox 360 gamepad worked out so that LT will save state, RT will load state, and LB and RB will act as the L and R buttons on the SNES controller. This lets me save and load states on the fly.

Is there any way to do that on the Visual Boy Advance?

I love the VBA. GBA had sooooo many awesome titles. The Logitech Dual Action is a real good gamepad to use with it, too.

VBA is also OPEN SOURCE: it'll run on Windows, Mac or Linux.

@TheClashGaming Click on FILE, during gameplay. Click "Save as..." and give the save a name. Then, click save. From that point forward, you should be able to pick up where you left off by clicking "Load" and selecting that save file.

I downloaded the emulator and about 100 game boy games. My problem is with the emulator. For some strange reason nothing I do will give me control of the game. I have a game called "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". I can get the game started but nothing I do will allow me to activate the "Select" function.

@holystars i think you have to download another program online, called vb link or something, search for it.

Yeah, buy the game and put it into a GBA cartridge supporting game console. That fixed it for me.

i have a relatively simple question, when you hit file you'll note that there is a "save" and a "save to". Well "save to" has an arrow that opens a window that lists the # of save states you can have, all you do is click a number and it saves the state just fine. One time I hit "save" by mistake and it made me save something into the rom folder and then my game froze for a second and looked all weird. So what is "save" and what did it do to my game?

I have a GBC file in the rom which is the actual game, a SAV file which i think is my save state, and 2 SGM files that are the same, I don't want to delete the wrong thing

here's what you do, go to options, scroll to emulatior then go to save type, go to the last 2 options, and select flash 128k check that, also tick real world clock option and enjoy.

I happen to be an expert with computer programming, its a hobby which keeps me in a good mood 9-10 times, I have been working on an emulator for nintendo ds only new games keep coming out so I have been having a hard time keeping my emulator updated I might have to wait until the ds gets a bit outdated before releasing it to the public for download.
