Shut the fuck up with your bullshit. Fucking CoD kids saying that they are going in the fucking army. Bullshit crap of courage. Faith my ass. Salamat my dick.
My father-in-law served in the Phillipines for four years with one R and R. Their company lost so many officers that he, as a sargent, had to take over. The only thing he's ever said about it that I know of is that his men told him that even if they knew he had to lead them to their deaths, they'd go with him. He's is still so humbled by that. I'm so grateful he made it home to become a husband and father. He's the best of examples and my husband of 38 years is proud of his Dad as I am.
@9ONE0NE That is very gracious of you to say One. I am lucky and I hate seeing him get older and weaker. His mind is still sharp. When we were first married he could still take down his sons, together, in wrestling match. A 23 and 21 year old. You didn't mess with Dad! :) We are fast loosing a generation that really did keep us free. How can you ever be thankful enough for their willingness to do that? Both men and women. Songs
Many thanks for this movie ! ! Both the Filipino people and the the US soldiers are true heros in my book. Yes movies are part fiction but the bottom line is this is based on true events , green soldiers againist Japanese regulars. I say thanks to all that took part no only in ther raid but gave their lifes to helping as many stay alive before the raid. Lets never forget them as I now will never forget
@darshanadeep WHY DID U HAVE TO PUT THAT IN MY FACE EVERTIME . presented by : darshanadeep . bullshit im sick of it . what the fuckk is wrong with u . u need more appreciation . here's my dick eat it
i sat at my table opened my laptop and thought of watching a war movie, and got stunned for an hour. i actually forgot to buy smoke but its ok theirs always tomorrow xD
I am a filipino american and this movie def. touches the core of what both my people there and here both believe in. Freedom, liberty, justice, and care and love of our fellow man, esp our soldiers and our countries. I love both my countries and I do nothing else but want to love my countries. Thank you so much again for bringing this up and this this movie is still one of the best movies I have ever seen. Its real and its so underrated.
i got to give the movie a rating of 10/10 one of the best movies i've seen ever since letters from iwo jima, band of brother, the pacific, and saving private ryan great job for the movie i will subscribe because i like your videos
If I remember correctly, they did give Captain Pajota a medal. On top of that, the US government automatically granted him US citizenship after the war.
By 1945 most Americans thought the war was over. This movie brings to light the sacrifices and heroism that many soldiers endured during the final months of the war.
@hyperclaurus44 That part was fiction. There was no Major Gibson. There was a Margaret Utinsky, however, and she deserves every accolade she received. She was a 42-year-old American when the Japanese captured the Philippines in 1942. While searching for her husband, she masqueraded as a Lithuanian citizen (a neutral country in that conflict). She didn't find him. Afterward, however, she did everything depicted in this film. She was not the dish portrayed by Connie Nielsen, but a true heroine.
i thank you Mr. Darshanadeep for posting this historical movie......i learned something about the bravery and sacrifices of american soldiers , filipino soldielrs , and the prisoners of war.........God bless you !
A big thanks to one of our great Filipino action film stars....co-star Cesar Montano, appeared on that film "The Great Raid". Maraming salamat po, Cesar (Thank you so much for doing all the hard work on that war film).
I thought this was very well done. It's a different world now thankfully. We are allies of the Japanese and Germans and Italians and perhaps of the Russians and perhaps of the Chinese too. Even North Korea might come along one day. We don't have to do a world war again. We're too grown up for that. All we have to do is convince our leaders that they are too grown up for war too.
This is truly a mark in the history of both nations who helped hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder to accomplish one mission.. I am proud as a FILIPINO for my country as well as my country men was part of such historical event in military history.. May god bless our countries and the whole world!!
What about Capt.Pajota? and Capt.Joson? they deserve an award too. if those 2 men were not in the mission. the rangers as well the prisoners will be massacred. discrimination lives long ago. sigh
@chesterdgreat91 its Capt.Juan Pajota. without him and capt.Joson the mission is totally failed. i heard that Capt.Pajota didnt received any medals in that operation. i wonder why. there are a lot of discrimination in the Filipinos in WWII. but im proud to be a filipino specially when Gen.Mcarthur said that give me 10 million philippine scouts and i will conquer the world
i like it but i hated that you got your name in every part of the movie, we don't need to see that we can see it below the movie, aldo thanks for uploding
i am the filipino.... but my grandfather is a soldier.. in that time.. he know the cabanatuan bridge... i think? that name of bridge... cuba bridge??? the time of that... he is A captain... filipino-american soldier.
Very interesting and thank you for posting. It would be interesting to know what happened after the war with nurse Margaret and the captain and others. It would just be interesting to know.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I, being a Filipino enjoyed and mostly inspired how the American soldiers were able to liberate the Philippines and how they endured 3 years running low on supplies, while at the same time, America was focusing on Europe as their main priority to abolish Hitler's temporary reign there. It just shows how Courage, Faith, and Charity are put to the test. Thank you again. Salamat!
never heard of the movie or this battle before thank you for sharing

Not to belittle Spielberg's great cinematic style, but this was somehow refreshing as a narrative war film.
