  • They held me hostage for 2 years. They would not complete the work and would not hand over any passwords or the GUI until we signed off on the uncompleted project. It was horrible I paid other several other programmers to fix what they had done and finally had to scrap two years of work and thousands of dollars as it was cheaper to start all over from scratch than it was to try and fix. Clearly the most incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure of working with in my entire life!

  • The worst company ever. Glad they went belly up and I won't deal with their sucessor either!

  • Aren't these guys good little Mormons? Anyway, I started a web project with the bastards years ago and stopped it as I smelled a great big EVIL RAT early on in the process.

One suggestion I have is going after the names of the people involved in the fraud and scam. They can always change the company name. Make a new corporate image as well. But if you hammer the PEOPLE who are the scumbags then they can't escape their reputation if enough people are pissed at them. Just my suggestion.

  • Is fraud not illegal in Utah?

  • We are a small niche web development firm if you guys need help with your website please visit webdecadedotcom

  • i was screwed by these people at HIT webdesign. I called multiple times and emailed numerous times only to get the runaround. They dont finish what they say they will, and have filed a fraud complaint with my banking institution and visa. I will most likely get my money back, and would like to be part of the class action lawsuit of possible. AVOID HIT/HERITAGE WEB DESIGN

  • I know it's kinda lame to plug a company, but in the wake of what has happened, I think it'd be a blessing for some former Hit/Heritage/ISO Webworks (their new name) to have an alternative to look into. EZ-NetTools has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (Hit had an F- before removing themselves from membership) and we've been around 25 years.

Anyone wanting to change, give us a look. We don't want anyone else to get burned by these guys!

  • worst company ever.

  • i used to to be an employee of them yes it is a scam,i found this out only working a week with them, and by the way they are like 3 months behind in paying the employees what a total scam!!

  • I feel for all the clients they have duped... its so sad that businesses like this still advertise on google and get away with it.... if anyone needs help we are small family owned business and also affordable... webcoastconcepts. (dot) com

  • digitalmediawebdesign com if our looking for help or any type of edits we are cheap and faster then hitwebs..

  • This comapany is a joke stole our money stay far far away

  • I paid over $2,000 for a site that was never completed by HIT Web Design. They talk a good game, but provide no results. I have filed a small claims lawsuit against them (by mail) in the 4th District court of Utah (utcourts .gov 801.756.9654). Cost is $100 plus $40 for the summons to be served. Add ALL travel costs to your claim in case you have to go to court. I suspect that they prey on out of state customers because they don't think that you will sue them. It's time for that to change.

  • Hit Web Design has over 660 complaints with the Utah Better Business Bureau and they have a D- rating. Check out the video that KSL News in UT did on them. Go to google and type in: news reports about hit web design

  • 5,800? damn, how big was your site gonna be? You should have used zackles

  • In the TOS (at the bottom of the contract) they stated that if you write a complaint about them on any website they can charge you $2, 500.00 and an additional $100 every time the complaint gets a 'HIT'! I guess that's what HIT means. They'll HIT you in the pocket!

  • How can we start a class-action lawsuit because something NEEDS to be done about this! They can't say they will provide a service and not complete it. I read the TOS agreement and it stated in the contract that websites had NO TIMEFRAME OF COMPLETION! This means that they can BS you as long as they want! At $39.99 a month for web hosting on a site that will never be completed, they'll BS FOREVER!

  • @retsej515 Anyone can file a class action lawsuit as an individual. Once it's filed then you need a class. Typically that can be as few as 30 people. File it and count me in.

  • @retsej515

so did u ever figure out how to go abt setting up this law suit

  • I had the same experience..... finally walked away and went elsewhere.

  • Had bad experience with Hitweb. They didn't live up to what they said. They were called Heritage at one time. Do your Homework before you do business with them.

  • thanks for posting. too late for me. though I'll try to get the registered letter.

I made a video of them giving me the runaround, and will be posting it on youtube soon. It is unbelievable.....

  • They contacted me about doing work for them but I don't design sites for $20 a page. That's about $100 for a standard site. I make $35 an hour.

  • Good to see somebody standing up to this company. My former business partner got royally screwed by these guys. They were known as Heritage but changed there name to HIT...wonder why???
