The thing is, the curse afflicted him for transferring into Hinamizawa and so the first arc is how it went down that way. Rena and Mion were trying to SAVE him in that arc in which he suspected them that they were trying to kill him or something instead of saving him. It's really confusing until you watch the series a second or third time. :p

Rika dies, and this god named Hanyuu resets everything, also on season 3 Rika gets hit by a bus and goes into another world where Hanyuu cannot enter, the new world that Rika is in is untainted, and in the end Rika gets back to the tainted world because she killed her mother, then on the next episode Hannyuu tells Rika that two orb like things fell from the sky and whoever touches it falls in love with the other one. @CuRSe0011 It was just a flashback of what happend in episodes 1-4. Keiichi just realized that Mion and Rena werent trying to kill him but actually help him. And he noticed that the syringe mion was holding was actually a marker to draw on him, he was just hallucinating due to Hinamizawa Syndrome (you gotta watch season 2 to get this). And therefore he killed Mion and Rena with satoshi's bat and died thinking they were trying to kill him. His flashback was another world different than this one.
