Really. What's new? First he had Eruption, then he did Spanish Fly, Intro to Mean Streets, well most of Fair Warning their best, Little Guitars I could go on. His style did NOT change he only, oh yeah Cathedral, added more of that incessant tapping and the tap harmonics. And then he flanged the shit out of it more. Every old album had some new technique as I pointed out, now he just coasts, sorry, I lived VH from 1980 up to VH3 - POUNDCAKE -
If I don't ever hear the words TONE CHASING EVER AGAIN, I will DIE a happy man! FUCK enough already with the tone chasing and the damn tapping. Do something new like the old days!!!
@592220 if you actually listen to every thing he does, his entire style changed from album to album . . . if you think he's doing the same stuff as he did in '78, you've got to be crazy
fucking peavey. anyone ever owned a peavey amp or PA? those people should be shot. the stuff most of us can afford (not the 5150 heads) is total shit. on top of it all, the ernie ball music man EVH guitar was an absolute gem of an instrument, a really dynamic masterpiece, well worth the 2000 dollar + price tag.
@Syklenut41 it was my first amp. it sounded so bad, i wanted to kill myself. i have a pretty good ear, and eventually could afford to put a nice rig together, but the backstage 30 wouldn't matter how you spun those fucking knobs, it sounded like ass. nothing like that should have ever left a factory with a 350 dollar price tag. Hartley Peavey should be shot.
Can any1 tell me the differences between this new evh wolfgang compared to the wolfgang before and tbh i think they just look the same, but which is the best tone and souns through the pickups and sruff
Personally, considering the engineering and trial and error put into this thing (particularly the umpteen dozens of pickups he tried and rejected), I think $3500 is a deal. I'd much rather buy a progressive machine like this, than some re-issue Les Paul.
Perfect combination of a Strat and a Les Paul I would think. Exactly what the guy always wanted.
He's got it right. Keeping parts of it unpainted. Why do you think an old Martin guitar is worth so much? And sounds so amazing. It because of the age of the wood itself. In 20-30 years these guitars will sound better than when they were brand new.
I don't care for em. I'd much rather make a Franky than deal with this, although the d-tuna was nice.

Wow 22 frets really? Im sorry but a guitar without 24 frets is a waste, even if your not a shredder.
shredtildeath777 1 year ago
@shredtildeath777 Wow. so taking off 2 frets that arent necessarily needed makes a guitar suck.
22 is just fine. 24 just makes the access to the 22nd fret all that much better. so it doesnt matter.
