@98AncientGoddess98 i went to your channel, but dont think it posted onlyoldmovies.blogspot(dotcom) posted TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2011 its you will need fileserve or filesonic or waited 15 minutes between downloads. no i am not connected with that site, i just get a lot of old movies there. not sure if they have posted fallen angel there.
This is the film, when after watching the dailies, Alice Faye realized that the movie was being cut in favour of newcomer Linda Darnell. Alice got up, drove her car off the lot throwing her dressing room keys to the guard on duty. She never went back. After the War the first brand new car that came off the assembly line the studio sent to Alice and Alice sent it right back. It didn't mean that much to her she would much rather be a wife and mother to her two daughters. Always a STAR.
just discovered 1940's film noir. definitely a classic genre of great films.
curious, has there ever been any connection to 40's film noir being a catalyst or contributing factor to the "red scare" communist hunters of the 1950's? the mccarthy fascists sure seemed to focus on hollywood for all their fear mongering.
@tomitstube I think that might be because Hollywood actors/actresses had influence on people, they wanted to "find" them first before they "spread". Glad you found noir, probably my favorite genre and I'm only 16! =)

Considered as one of the best film noirs ever made, directed by Otto Preminger.
By the way, in French, "noir" (black), can also mean "dark" and "somber".
