@IPODTOUCHDUDE54321 :) I started with hk audio premium pro 12" tops and first some crap peavey 15" subs and then updated to behringer 1800x pro subs. currently iäm using rcf art 310 10" active tops and 2 art 705-as 15" subs
Wow its funny going back to these old gig logs and then seeing what I use now. Lol, I had to start somewhere. Back at this time I never would have though I would be messing with software DMX and Moving heads.
@Zman87gt hehe its always like that first some basic speakers like double 15box and horn or one 12 or 15 on stand.. then some basic light like cheap leds, some strobes and then in a year or two dmx scanners, moving heads, lasers, hazers not foggers and some 18subs :) nice to hear u made it..
That's obviously wrong! The whole bonus of using a desktop PC to is they're so much easier to update with the latest hardware (sound/midi interfaces) and they're a hell of a lot more powerful. For those of us who run video as well a desktop is a must as you need a powerful graphics card to run dual monitors and video outputs for projectors/screens, which just doesn't come with even high end laptops. My desktop system is flight cased - just as mobile, but way more versatile.
well thats alright then coz if its for mobile only you dont have to keep taking it out from your home and if you use video during then your dj then fair enough, but otherwise they are a waste of space.
Haha I laughed at when you are saying your setup. No offense its a pretty good setup for a show like that but your "like a mushroom that doesnt spin and a i dont remember what the fuck that was". lol good log man.
i dunno, i like that setup. But i've seen your other gig logs and you do a great job. how mcuh do you ask for to come to hanford, california to come and play for a house party?
lol ur right damn gas prices. thats about $2,000 that is a better deal then the guy in my area who will charge me the SMALL HOUSE PACK; includes: 2 12' Dual Speakers / 5ft. Truss System / 2Jr. Color Splash / 1 Octo Bar / and Agressor / last for 2 hours / and it's all $1,200. I'd rather use ur deal much better
That was real nice. It would've even been more beautiful had you were actually spinning 'vinyl'. Vinyl these days gives an extra spark of excitement to the crowd; especially when they see that you actually have all the latest songs on records. Yeah, I know CD players, I-Pods, MP3's, Serato etc are even less the work it takes to lug crates of records and turntables around, but...it's worth it. Keep up the good work.
Yeh I know, I should have one for the river bash this year. Acually my lightshow is completely different now vs at the time of this gig. I just don't want to mess with a variance required for high powered lasers in the states.
You might want to place your sub in the center rather than to one side. Also, if you seperate the lights and spread them out it will keep the truss from bowing - currently in this video they are all placed too close to the center. Keep up the good work, seems like everyone is having fun. Cheers.
Yeh normally the sub would be in the middle but I diddn't want the feedback issues with people singing karaoke. As far as the lights go yeh, I think next time the will get more spacing.
the song is gold digger by kanye west

GET A LAPTOP!
dont use a desktop computer, waste of space and not very up to date compared to a nice new laptop :)
showbiz007 3 years ago
Yeh I have a laptop now, had it for almost a year now. The desktop worked good for the time but yeh I save time and space with my laptop.

I totaly agree. I since don't use 95% of the lighting in this rig. The only thing I still use is the Intimidator scanners. Thanks for the comment

StupidKidProductionz 3 years ago
For the house party I'll cut ya a deal of 300 for 4 hours with big sound and lights. For travel and lodging I'll say 1700 ;). Damn gas prices.

whats that funk song? sound nice to play at a summer gig =]
pkwiththepros 3 years ago 2
I guessing you mean the first sond being played. In that case it is "Hump De Bump" by "The Red Hot Chili Peppers"
Zman87gt 3 years ago
hey nice lighting, but FYI you are not supposed to used intelligent lighting outside, it really messes up the motors and shit. Just a tip!
portnoyfan521 3 years ago
That looks like a really fun gig.
mndjguy 4 years ago 2
nice kit. i think you should get all ur lighting equiment as dmx. but that is my opinon.
adamdude45 4 years ago
what is the name of the second track?
and the two scanners you got? how many Watts are they on?
hasje500 4 years ago
Golddigger by Kanye West
The scanners are 250watt halogen. They are intimidator 1.0's by chauvet.

I really don't have much knowledge of vinyl. I wouldn't mind learning it and I agree it would be cooler.

i think this must be the best DJ set up ever!!!
hasje500 4 years ago
Wow I don't know about that. It worked that night though. Just wait and see this years river bash setup.
Zman87gt 4 years ago
