Actually, 'deano', Billy was the arranger/conductor on Frank's "updated" version of the song for his 1958 Capitol album, "Come Fly With Me" [in 1941, he was playing (and collaborating on songs) with Glenn Miller's band].
okay...I'm confused. someone help. I heard that Billy May had something to do with this song. Was he in Dorsey's orchestra or something??...or did Sid Mark screw up when he played the song on his show?
This was a double-sided hit for Tommy Dorsey's orchestra, featuring vocals by Frank, Connie and the "Pied Pipers" {with Jo Stafford}. Recorded, in two parts, on February 17, 1941.
This is music. From the Thirties and Forties. The greatest generation of music.Today'smusic is like politics.Pure garbage.I wish I could invent a Time Machine and go back and listen to the greatest music of all time. And be with people from the greatest generation.I was born in 1945.Bensonhurst Brooklyn.Long Live the Brooklyn Dodgers.Duke,Campy,Pee Wee,Jackie,Gil;Nuke.Carl Furillo,Erskine.
@nyrangers2813 I was born in 1963 and I couldn't agree more. The thirties and the forties had the best music and the best singers and performers. I'm so glad that there are people my age and younger who appreciate it. Hi from England!

Great early Sinatra. This has to date back to '39 or '40. Wonderful 'Big Band' Swing music with back up vocals by Connie Haines and the Pied Pipers.
