@justinwithajay I'm really pleased that this info has helped you out! It's hard to give advice through the use of video but apparently in this occasion it works... Soon I'm starting a technique channel with tutorials specifically for these kind of things... (hopefully the first vids will be online in a couple of weeks..)
Thanks a lot for this video! Also as moretea stated, that tip about holding your hand the right way really helps, thanks for that. It's true that the smallest adjustments to your style can make great differences.
A pleasure. Like the book idea. I'll send royalties your way if I pull it off!
Look forward to more tuition as they come up. Is it imperative to use this technique on acoustic guitar though? I 'only' have a LP copy at the moment. This style will still be possible, won't it?
@moreteavicar0 You can play this style on any guitar, it's just won't have the same sound. I use this technique when playing these picking patterns over chords. it makes certain that I wont strike strings that I dont want to strike. because the hand is more relaxed when using this way of playing things become easier but it does take a little time to master it because when something is hard to play our muscles tension (sorry for my enlish, right now I'm on my break and don't have much time)
Just seen the 1st 5 minutes of this during a work break and I must say that the clarity and simplicity of your tuition is brilliant. Thanks for the tip on how to hold your hand whilst playing. I never knew that. Simple but grat advice. Cheers!
@moreteavicar0 Thanks for your nice compliment! Maybe you could write a book on how to optimize a work break ;-)
I had this tip from a Flamenco student at the conservatory, I never forgot about that. In the coming months I want to start posting technique lessons with more advice like this because I know that simple things can make a big difference in playing and sound!
Enjoy the rest of the video during the next break :-)

@trouttracker13 I can relate to the confusion, dust in the wind has the exact same picking pattern only different chords...
