Generally though you never want to vote on your rights. That is why we were a Constitutional Republic. To protect your rights from laws and voters who would usurp those rights. It is your property rights. Nobody should have say over them. The person or people who have control of your property are the real owners....even if they are voters.
We have a issue in Wooster, Ohio , Zoning was changed and now our multifamily home is non-conforming. Now we can not refinance the house because the bank will not lend money on a non -conforming home. We lost a sale because the bank would not lend money again to a no-conforming home. So what do we do now.

Look at your state constitution and see if you can do a referendum on that law. That is probably the only way you will get your vote on the law.
Because we have turned into a Democracy voting on your rights is your only hope.
Only about 21 states have this process.
