dammit man i have to wait at least 2 more years to go even with a waiver from my parents. IM GOING TO DO THIS!!! US MARINE CORP TILL I DIE, best of luck to you guys that ship this year.
@xaaopbbx not true, depends on the job. some require you to sign for 5 years active 4 years inactive. most is 4 years. some jobs you can choose to do 2 year enlistment
i like the part at 2;16, the dudes looking at the gun with directions , hes got the face of fuck i gatta put this together. haha can't wait till my training starts
the pics dont tell the whole story, as i would remember, cause you dont hear the screaming and yelling of the first 2 months by the third month they ease up but not by much always keeping discipline at all times, once you go threw it your a new person
Marines, home of the brave, and home of the tough, Semper Fi "Always faithful" and thats no bluff!!. Marines are mighty and true, they protect our freedom, Honor Courage and comitment it's so true, it's all about protecting the red , the white and the blue!!!. Marines will never break or bend, they're ready to fight and defend. We are proud of our military especially the Marines,I'm so grateful for the sacrafice you paid I say, God Bless your familys and the USA come home safe I kneel & pray!
@Eggo223 lol you can do everything right and they'll chew you out for that, too. Trust me- Hazing may be illegal for marines, but you ain't a marine in boot camp. Wish you the best of luck(Especially if you're going to parris island.). Oorah!
boot camp was tough. the hardest part was dealing with the stress and constant anger u pull in. i promise u alot of new recruits will just sit down after taps and just cry. it is a very difficult thing going through ur head but if u keep the right thoughts and only look forward to what is happening to you at the moment and dont think about the days or how tomorrow is going to be. just keep a strong steady mind set and push yourself to your limits.oh and paris island's drill instructors r worse
@wafflecushioned correction :) they are not allowed on the firing line. pi would scream from back behind the benches. sd just jokes around and didnt give a fuck
@ThatItalianDude1 my best advice to you is to stay motivated, because it will get better! keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open! i wish you the best of luck! Semper Fi!
Hey bro, be careful about posting marine corps videos and saying Semper Fi and such before you graduate from boot camp... You will find that when you earn your Eagle, Globe and Anchor you get rather pissed off about things like that... Good luck in boot bro! Always remember, no matter what the drill instructor says or makes you do, everything comes to an end... I have some of the best memories from boot camp. And you will make lifelong friends.

@devildog161 look man im gonna give you some good advice. none of this "it pertains only to what i have to do bs" you need to be mentally ready. ya workout. your poole functions arent enough. jog, pullups, and crunches. thats all i can say about pt. and no the Drill Instructors arent gonna be your friends. but you will look up to them. mental toughness is key. if youre mentally tough youll be ok
look man im not trying to be a shithead about anything, but for christs sake dont make ur name USMC anything till youve actually earned the title. i earned my Eagle Globe and Anchor (its not an ega so dont fuckin call it that) and you probably shouldnt give advice about anything till youve been there. when i was at boot i say some of the physically toughest people ive ever met break down and cry like little girls. bootcamp is 10% physical and 100% mental
lol 2:17 the Mickey mouse towel, i hated that towel never enough room to set mine down on the quarter deck. always broke my m16a2 down on my lap it was a bitch
devildog why 3 years? the day i walked into the marine corps recruiting office i went to meps the next night became a poolee and i went to boot 3 months later. I was 215 and i droped 15 pounds in a week to dep in. I had to lose another 10 just to ship on oct 22. then i left to boot. I just graduated 2 weeks ago and i weigh 149 pounds. Dont worry about the physical stuff if you become a poolee and do the functions they prepare you quiet well. Gl i loved recruit training cept for 1st phase. B 1021
@bryen96786 it isnt too bad. depending on your MOS you may not even have to qual higher than a jump into shallow water, swim 25 yds, jump off a 15 or 20 ft platform and tread water for 2 minutes. but you gotta remember this is all in combat boots, and cammies. after qual 4 is 3 which is with a helmet and pack but ur pack floats. and at 2 it gets to be a bitch cuz you lose the floating pack
I just hit 16 four days ago and Im signing up for Delayed entry next year. Then heading off when I graduate the summer of 2011. I cant wait, I have so much emotion and adrenaline right now just thinkin about it

@devildog161 If you want to join you need to train. but 3 years? why would u join at 19.?
U need to go to your local recruiter and join the Delayed Entry Program if you want to enlist right out of highschool and he'll get u physically fit.
