Its a disease that just when you think you've beaten it, the binging just starts again. This affects males also. I would say I suffer from it and dont know why. Maybe because I was picked on for being overweight growing up and ever since its been on and off again. I think to myself " man I got a new mustang in dental bills!" but even knowing you have a problem isnt enough, Its so hard to stop. Every day is hell.
Wow! How ignorant are you. It's so much more complicated than "don't throw up, just have a normal diet"! Maybe you should do some major research and then you can make "wonderful" suggestions to bulimics. Until then just shut the fuck up because you sound a hell of alot smarter that way.
This is a mental disorder, it isn't about food at all. Emotions have a great influence on the way they see themselves and their bodies. Bulimia isn't a thing to laugh about, or else, nobody would be sick for so long. Lots of people are struggling with eating disorders, it could even be your close friend. They feel shame and they are scared to look for help, thus the shame bring them more and more into what trigger the shame.
It isn't logical at all, but that's the way it is for lots of bulimics. I hope you'll open your eyes one day and see that nothing is as simple as " a normal diet ". Often, eating disorders are triggered by a " DIET ".
