If it were me, I would move to another city that has a transit system if you can afford it; or move closer to work, maybe? Or get a moped? I wouldn't like it either if that happened to me; especially in the middle of winter and in the middle of the night. How far do you have to walk to work?
@FireThunderTV So, Let me get this straight.....You have no gumption to fight injustice, your answer is to run away from the problem and pretend that it does not exist, don't worry about what material things I have or don't have.
PikesPeakOcean: No , I never said to give up your material things or to not fight injustice. I believe in fighting injustice, but how is that going to help you right now? Can't you find another place to live closer to work AND fight injustice at the same time? I know it's not fair and it's very inconvenient, but what other choices do you have right now? I'm trying to put myself in your shoes, and it seems to me that is about the only option.
@PikesPeakOcean I personally am O.K. I am more concerned for people who are negatively affected by this, Elimination of Evening and Weekend public transportation are not the only issue, Many Street lights have been turned off, there are no more trashcans in city parks, and as a result of these cuts many people are now out of work. I fighting for the good of the people. There is a hatred in this city toward people who are not of privilage. I am fighting against that hatred
so did they serve up a bunch of fresh tax cuts too? That is what WA State does... Legislators have exempted 2/3 of our tax base, build roads with trees in the middle of them, and closes parks.
It is time to repeal the tax breaks dolled out over the past 3 decades and pay for our government and services to the citizens! just until the economic crises is over...
this city government does not care about the people. he is in his 1.5 million dollar home on top of university park, he is all about the money.. he is so much about money it has blinded him on what reality is. it is greed in the city and the city leaders.. they have pissed on us in the community.
It is going to be ever harder walking to work after they shut off 1/3 of the streetlights. Better carry a first aid kit in case you get hit by a car, because they are cutting emergency services. Who needs parks and libraries and road repair, cause the homeowners didn't want to pay a couple of hundreds bucks in new taxes. I hope they are happy.
GREAT Video! For a huge city such as Colorado Springs, the bus system is embaressing. And it keeps getting worse!

@DJLittleRO I am fortunate to own a car now since then, I will still fight to bring it back up to par because I remember what it was like
