  • No virus. Clean as a whistle! Works like a charm - took about 30 minutes all in, and then another 30 mins or so to install onto my old Netbook! Windows 7 Ultimate worked first time, installing ALL the required drivers! Perfect!

  • thanks bro. It worked like a charm.

  • thank you very much man!

  • i dont have windows 7 intallation dvd but i have iso file of windows 7, can i just mount it?is it getting work...

  • @neiljaca2010 Yes. See the website- third tab at the top!

  • @steve6375 I am using 2 USB drives and the vista 64 bit I downloaded requires two "Discs"(again I am using flash drives) How do I get it on the second flash drive? I used the CMD and moved the BOOTSECT.EXE /HT60 F: and it said that there is no file called that.

The only file on the second iso disk is a file called sources, can I just copy and paste them over to the USB?

  • @schizofreniceuphoria Yes, copy the /sources folder to the /sources folder on the USB drive and see if it works.

  • @steve6375 The first flash drive failed anyway so I could not even try it

Just gonna download Win8 CP and use that for now

  • is it possible to put windows xp instead of seven if so will it work the same way ? same settings? what setting do i use if i want to use xp ?

  • @PedroBoss007 Please visit the rmprepusb website - seek and ye shall find...

  • holy shit this worked wow you are amazing i tried somany things nothing worked exept this the thank you so much!

  • Windows 7 USB/DVD usb download tool = sooooo much easyer to do and it's from microsoft itself

  • @rskingjento Yes that is quite true, but it does not boot on all systems. If you use RMPrepUSB it will boot on a higher %age of systems if you use the Boot as HDD option.

  • hack-hour.blogspot.com check this site for bootable usb

  • Thanx Dude..its working..

  • thank you...I've learned so much

  • @arvie469 Thanks for leaving thanks! Try the RMPrepUSB website for more exciting projects!

  • Thanks for the tutorial.. I spent an hour searching for something that would work.

    Im already installi win7!!

    Thanks!! @.@

  • Mine looks totaly different than in the video, his says copying and mine just stays on the black window and then the window closes, that's all that happens

  • @dadslad125 see 1min 29sec - tick the box.

  • @steve6375 i did, same thing happens ??

  • @dadslad125 Did you try the Quick Test?

  • @steve6375 No. I managed to install it using a different program, thanks for the help though. :-) ^^ Thanks again

  • It's when he partions the usb stick, on my win xp it takes for Ever to get past it

  • @dadslad125 That should say copying not extracting and it is in a Windows dialog box not a cmd shell??? The file is quite large and you may have a slow USB drive. Try testing the speed of it using the RMPrepUSB Test Speed button. Also try Quick Size test (destructive) to see if your USB flash drive is OK.

  • it gets to the point in CMD screen where it says "Extracting sources\install.wim and just stops and does nothing ?

  • @dadslad125 At what point in the video is that? I don't see that anywhere in the video?

  • thanks a lot ... :)

  • Awesome!!! it worked perfect.. Installed it vista using it on my PC and Dell Inspiron laptop. I'm commenting after install and using the same laptop. Thanks a million....

  • im about to say F it and just wait till payday and get a damn cd drive....

  • @DisneyDeathCamp After it copies files to the hard drive and reboots, you are supposed to remove the USB drive so that it boots from the hard disk. If you bought a DVD drive would you just keep booting from the DVD drive all the time!

    1. Boot from USB drive

    2. Install Windows to Hard Disk

    3. Remove USB drive and boot to Hard Disk

  • and half the time it shows my hard drives to choose to install to, and then other times it says there arent any drives to choose from.....idk wtf is going on

  • @DisneyDeathCamp This sounds like a problem with the desktop. Check the hard drive and hard drive cable. If the BIOS has an option for Spin Up Delay for hard disk - set it to 5 or 10 seconds and see if that helps. The hard disk may be faulty it may be worth trying another one.

  • actually ive been trying to do this for about 5 hours now....everything goes smooth and it goes through the whole install process, but then when it restarts, it automatically boots from the usb and starts the whole thing over from the start......it doesnt complete the installation after the restart

  • @DisneyDeathCamp remove the usb

  • Thanks a lot. I recently traded my laptop for a desktop but the desktop had no cd drive and was formatted with no operating system, and I've tried a bunch of other videos but this one was the simplest and it worked.

  • @burningspikes0 Switch on - look for text message about 'BIOS Setup' or Menu. Usually there is a message to press DEL or F2 or ESC. If you see no message then just try pressing these keys a lot as soon as you see the text on the screen after switchon. This should get you to the BIOS menu. If you Google for your model of nbook then you should be able to find a user manual for it.

  • @steve6375 thanks a lot.

  • what is the full error message? Does it mentions a DLL file or something?

    What OS are you running?

  • @steve6375 I think it means there might be an error with the:

    Computer

    Flash Drive (Brand)

    Flash Drive (Circut board)

    Flash Drive (Resistors)

    or Windows 7

  • @Tylerwaffleblue Am I supposed to know what you are talking about? I see no other comment from you? What symptom are you seeing. Please describe accurately and clearly.

  • @steve6375 because, errr. Steve (Jobs) this is my first visit to this vid

  • mine says "invalid ms-dos function" what should i do?.. pls help me

  • @erizef Try it again!

  • @steve6375 i've tried so many times but still have the same error. :(

  • @erizef What says invalid MS-DOS function? RMPrepUSB, when you try to boot it, QEMU test?

  • @steve6375 when it start copying the file.. some files make that kind of error. example file is "bootsect.exe.mui"

  • @erizef Did you test your USb drive with Quick test button?

  • @steve6375 not yet.. ok i'll try

  • @steve6375 still doen't solve the problem.. i give up.. anyway thanks man.. :(

  • @erizef Did it pass the test? What happens if you just reformat without ticking the Copy Files option and then just use Windows Explorer to copy the files over?

  • @steve6375 it did pass. and when i try to copy using windows it pops the same error..

  • is there any other way? pls help me.

  • thanks 100% working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is awesome!!! now i can formate and install windows 7 easily with the USB...thax for the good tutorial....

  • 10000000% Working man Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks A Lot oF Thanks

  • i just wanna say i love you

  • thanx man its working

  • will your usb not work if you trsanfer to a bootsable usb please answer me!!

  • @rudy3019 I do not understand the question. please visit the website for rmprepusb. You can use the contact me link if you like.

  • worked like a charm, thanks a ton!

  • hi wouild it work whith XP ...????

  • @cizite Install.wim is a large file. if you have a slow flash drive it will take quite a while

  • thank you so much men!

  • You're my hero !!! Thank you so much for the tutorial

  • Thankyou so much. Awesome video, helped me out tons after searching ages for something like this as my cd wouldn't work.

  • I seem to be hangin up on a part. It freezes out at Extracting sources\install.win ( This is from an iso. ) It's been stuck there ( Though it is responsive ) for a while now.

  • @oTPazzo INSTALL.WIM is a big file...

  • I'm wondering if I have an ISO will it work the same if I use WinRar to open and extract the files in the ISO to a new folder. Then set the program to copy from said folder. I think it should, any ideas?

  • @oTPazzo of course! The latest version will extract files from the ISO for you, no need for winrar.

  • @steve6375 Indeed! I just noticed that after I typed the comment then visited your site. xD Great work bud, you saved me a headache. I ordered ( by accident a 32 bit copy ( didn't see the 32 bit in title haha)) of windows 7 So I asked a friend to load his 64 bit up and I downloaded it, it will be going to a new rig which has nothing on the hard drive so this was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again!

  • Is there ANY way to just use an .iso instead of a DVD??? please reply

  • @91jmda Yes - why not look at my website - see Tutorial #43

  • ther is outer way ....????

  • Can I burn the Mac OS X iso on my USB with this program???

And will it accept 4.37GB to be burned onto the USB?

    -ThankYou-

  • @baorichy7 To have a 4GB file you will need to format the USB as NTFS. Whether or not the ISO will work I am afraid I don't know. You will have google to see if anyone has done it or just try it using grub4dos and ISO mapping.

  • iits wokrs for xp ..i have cd xp sp3 and i do it just like you for botable usb =????

  • @karburator256 Which bit of 'Also works with Vista DVDs (but NOT XP CDs)' in the video information do you not understand! This does not work with XP. Just Vista, 7 or SVR2K8 as stated in the description.

  • @steve6375 ok tnx

  • You will need to give details. What version are you using. what are the parameters, What OS are you using, what USB device are you using, etc.

  • It's says parameter is incorrect. How do I fix it?

  • hi i saw your video on how to make a bootable flash drive but i am having some problems i need to put a toshiba bios .exe file onto a usb flash drive and boot it since my laptop wont load into windows.

  • @tirado8811 So tutorial #37 on RMPrepUSB website was no good then? If not, please say what happened when you tried it?

  • muchas gracias,me salvaste el dia :)

  • 10x

  • Thank you for this video :D

  • need some help, i want to boot a random bootable iso, from my flash on xp, can i use this method itself?

  • @siddharthshinde Sorry, I do not understand what you want to do? Visit rmprepusb tk and see if what you want is there?

  • @steve6375 okay, i have this iso, of asterisk which includes a linux setup in it, i'm supposed to just burn the iso to a disc and i can boot from disc, i did however want to boot from my pen drive,i searched rmpreusb but i couldn't find what i needed

  • @siddharthshinde Can you give me a download URL for Asterisk so I can try it. I suggest you post on reboot.pro with your question.

  • @steve6375 the first search result when you type asterisk now on google, is the on, i'll try asking in reboot.pro too

  • @siddharthshinde - I know how to use Google! The first result is a main page - there is a downloads page too - this has about 30 different versions on it. I asked a specific question - give me a URL so I can download and try the EXACT version you want to use. If you cannot be bothered to answer, I cannot be bothered to help!

  • @steve6375 lol relax! the only reason i wrote that, is coz it refused to let me post the link i tried replacing the . with dot still didn't let me post, So i thought i'd tell you how i got the downloads page i tried posting with the link again, didn't work, when you do get to the asterisknow page to the right hand side is a small window which says download for 64bit n 32bit mine is the 32bit download

P.S.: Cockiness and over smartness are the last things you can expect from me! xD thanks again

  • @siddharthshinde lol! OK no probs - I have the same problems with youtube. I will try tonight and look for the post on reboot - cheers!

  • @steve6375 reboot.pro looks great, i guess i will find it there, thanks, peace :D

  • Thank you very much :D so happy

  • can you help me to create a bootable ghost dvd all in one. Dvd boots itself and loads xp within 4 minuets.

  • @varsha2042 Please post on reboot.pro

  • WOW this one actually works. i've tried wintoflash and a bunch of other stuff, but they didn't make the flash drive actually bootable on my pc for some reason; but this worked fine thank you man

  • i need to have the original DVD of win7 ? if it does that sucks :(

  • @MrKontrol90 You can download Win 7 ISO - see Links page on RMPrepUSB website. Of course you will need a product key to activate it.

  • thnnxxxxxxxxxxxxx bro u r awesome

  • thx it's working

  • Thank you very much!... love you man!... it works for me!!!

    THANKS!!!

    THANKS!!!

    THANKS!!!

    :D

    savior!.. xD you're the best!

  • @jaysonjan16 No Problem! Visit the RMPrepUSB website for more How To's - why not try installing linux onto your USB pen drive and boot your computer from it and try linux (see YLMF tutorial).

  • thanks brother

  • you are the best. i try many web side but not work. it is work for me. thank.

  • @shaniputtar try to run as admin ;]

  • See Tutorial #32 on rmprepusb . tk for how to use multiple Windows install ISO files all on one USB stick.

  • What is the purpose of marking force LBA calls ?shoult we mark it for making usb bootable for XP...?

  • @playnfun123 It is optional and depends on your BIOS on the system that you are booting from. Try it with or without to see which works best. Try without first but if it does not boot then try again with it.

  • @steve6375 Thanx for reply ill do so..

  • thx man, it's working....thx

  • @EsKuS17 :-)

  • I'm giving it a go now, if this works I will be soooooo chuffed!

  • life saver! its a gtood job the world has people like you :)

  • nice jop! brother!

    keep it up!

  • @shaniputtar It works for over 150,000 people - so you will have to give some more details. What OS, what system, what USB drive, are you running it as Administrator, how many different USB drives have you tried, does the USB drive work (seen in Explorer? I am not a mind reader and I cannot see what you have across the internet! :-)

  • @steve6375 And if I have windows 7 factory - installed? I didn't get the CD with it, can I then just copy the files from the windows files from my computer to the USB drive? Is there a way to do it without CD?

  • @robertdevald I don't understand the question. Do you want to transfer your windows 7 OS to another computer or boot Windows 7 from a USb stick? This tutorial is about booting from a USb stick and then installing Win 7 onto a computer.

  • @steve6375 I have Windows 7 on my computer factory installed, I didn't get any CD/DVD with it. Now my

mother wants Windows 7 in her computer and I wonder if there is a way to install Windows 7 on her computer without the original CD/DVD that costs €300 or something like that... Is there a way to put Windows 7 on a USB or CD/DVD and then to install it on another computer?

Thank you for answering in the first place!

  • @robertdevald It is possible by booting to WinPE and using ImageX (see my website tutorials). But even if you managed to do this, you could not activate it as you would need a retail product key. So it would only work for 30 days. Copying and using a licensed OS without paying for a licence is ILLEGAL and I am sure you wouldn't want to do anything illegal !

  • @steve6375 Ok, I guess, then I wont do anything illegal.

  • @steve6375 most people makes tutorial no 1 understand .

  • I saw in your video that in your case only 3.7Gbyte of data need to be transferred to the USBstick.I've got a Dell laptop which came with an OEM-Win7-DVD.The data size of this dvd is about 5.7Gbyte.I guess that won't work on a 4Gbyte-stick.I was actually able of creating a bootable USBstick with Microsofts USBinstaller but I needed an 8Gbyte stick.1.5Gbyte are used by Dell's language package=>is it possible to leave out some files for the copying process?

  • @perasparaadastra you need to see what files are on the DVD. The important folders are boot and sources and possibly root files. Why not just try it without the extra files and see what happens?

  • @steve6375 The trouble is that the Microsoft USBinstaller does not give me a chance to exclude files before it starts creating the USBstick. After that I have 7.5Gbyte.But I am going to check my USBstick again if it is possible to delete some files.I did not try that because I did not know that a "normal" Win7 DVD does not contain more than 4Gbyte and one has to put up with a 8GbyteStick.Thanks for mailing me back !

  • @perasparaadastra You don't need the MS installer. Just use RMPrepUSB to format the 4gb stick (using BOOTMGR+FAT32+USBHDD options) and then copy the files that you want over (you can mount an ISO using SlySoft Virtual Clone CD is it is an ISO file).

  • @steve6375 aaah - I got it. Thanks again - this was the answer I was looking for in the first place.I haven't had the time to have a closer look at your program yet but I am going to......

  • Boot-Land is now called reboot.pro. You can download RMPrepUSB from MediaFire now. Follow the link in the first post as in the video and you will see the alternate download link

  • you da you da best

  • cant download the software ... what to do?

  • @kikilalagaga please explain clearly your problem

  • @steve6375 i mean . i follow ur step , enter the website , but i cant even download the software like your video shows ..

  • @kikilalagaga As RMPrepUSB is hosted on Go ogle web site, access from some countries which block it may not be possible.

  • @steve6375 i think my country is blocked .. can u upload the software in mediafire ?

  • Comment removed

  • yes

  • @steve6375 sory fren..i found it..ohh..sysytem cmputer...

but it say bootmngr nissing..how to solve it?

  • @emberior Did you use a Windows 7 DVD? The windows 7 dvd has the file bootmgr on it (and lots of other files an folders). These should all be on your USB stick.

  • @steve6375 sory..i just copy only..it about not working?

  • @emberior Please register in Boot-Land and post in the RMPrepUSB in Project Forge Forum. Give all details of what you did. I cannot help you unless you give me details and the video is quite clear.

  • 1. Switch on system

    2. Wait for BIOS splash screen

    3. Now press and release the ESC key at 0.5 second intervals like this

ESC (wait half sec) ESC (wait half sec) ESC (wait half sec) ... and keep doing it until you get a boot menu

If this does not work, press DEL instead of ESC and go into BIOS menu to change boot order.

P.S. You just ask Q's but do not reply to my Q - what PC do you have?

  • @steve6375 window 7..i young in PC..i want to learn..can guve ur emel?

  • after switch on

  • @steve6375 where and when?i dont know..

  • it depends what system you have - if eeepc just press ESC to get boot menu, to go into BIOS press F2 abd DEL at 0.5 sec intervals after BIOS screen displays until you get BIOS menu. Some PCs use F2, some use DEL some use other key....

  • @steve6375

    after eject?at RMPREPUSB?

  • sory..how to find bios setup?

  • Glad it worked - now why not try linux - see sites.google.com/site/rmprepusb/tutorials/ylmf

  • Hey, worked great. I had to go in to my bios> usb settings and have my computer treat usb's and hdd's, then my usb drive showed up on my bootable devices list. thanks

  • glad it helped - works on any PC/notebook/netbook that can boot from USB.

  • is this gonna work on a notebook or desktop? or it's only for netbook? thanks

  • @bigbrocx The answer to your Question is already in the description - please read it!

'you can install Windows 7 on any other PC..'

  • @steve6375 thanks for the tutorial. I just used it once with hp mini but I haven't tried it in my laptop and desktop..

  • @steve6375 thanks. can i use virtual drive for this so that i don't need to put a dvd? cause I only have an iso file not in a dvd..

  • @bigbrocx yes _ I use Slysoft Virtual CloneDrive which is free and works well

  • will this work with installing xp?

  • @jerelconstantino No - Vista and Win7 only. If you have an Asus netbook see my other video. if you want to install XP from a USB stick see tutorials section of my website (see info text) and click on the Jamal tutorials link to find an XP tutorial.

  • It won't mess up your computer. RMPrepUSB only lists USB devices and will only format USB devices. It has been used by thousands of people and I have never heard of anyone messing up their computer.

  • does it really work cuz i dont want to mess up my comp.
