So people said that Link was getting involved with drugs and Tracy was hated for being famous and Edna looses weight but her husband isnt happy and goes off with another fat woman and so Edna puts the weight back on!-in the movie. Wish it wasnt cancelled that stinks!

@TheMightyJeffers True but it could have also something to do with the cast as well. I think Nikki would have been happy be in the sequal however Zac Efron was not going to do it either way. I believe Zac said in interviews after the release of HSM 3 he was no longer going do any musicals. I think Amanda at the time was going to retire, and John travolta was going though a personal tragedy when his son died.
