Yes. He holds and uses a gun. As someone commented, he has in MANY o his regens, particularly Colin Baker's time (no pun intended). He's The Doctor, not MacGyver.
I like this series best as well, because I started off with it (I went backwards) but then I watched the others and I love both the 9th and 10th doctor. I love them all.
What I love about this series is the style, wicked stuff! I'm a Sherlock fan, and that's what got me watching this. :D

I like this series, but differently from the 1-4th. One of the things that brings the quality down a little, is the fact that they cut off like all the characters, execept for the monsters from the first 4 new series.
When I first watched the this series I was confused about how I felt :/ It felt a differerent to the Who i fell in love with but the more I watch the more I realise its still Who and its still AWESOME xD Waiting for the boxset and the christmas special CANNOT WAIT! ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS EVER!!!!! xD

You don't see it?"). The stock pretty girl. But no, apparently this is as serious as the Star Wars Prequels. Bizarro. Maybe Terrence McKenna is right about patterns and a coming singularity...

The Doctor uses the gun in the trailer in episode 4, which i've just watched, He borrows the soldiers gun cos the Wheeping Angels turn out the lights and he shoots the gun at a gravity bubble so they can escape.
Btw Episode 4 with the Wheeping Angels was amazing, part 2 continues next week.

@piplup2009 Theres a very obviously lizard looking type and a human-lizard looking type that ive seen. I guess the regular (lizard) silurans are genesplicing humans with silurans.

@piplup2009 yeah that isnt a silurian, if you are english/scottish/nothern irish or welsh (I should have just said brittish) you'd have seen that episode if you have seen it then you are just being a tool
the hungry earth is totally different that snake head belongs to the smiley men episode

The Doctor uses the gun in the trailer in episode 4, which i've just watched, He borrows the soldiers gun cos the Wheeping Angels turn out the lights and he shoots the gun at a gravity bubble so they can escape.
Btw Episode 4 with the Wheeping Angels was amazing, part 2 continues next week.

Really excited about this one. It's a shame in Australia we get them later than everyone else ): Loving the new ideas here though. Although Russle T did a good job I think he was running a bit thin for ideas when it came to the last series of DW. I think with such a range of bright new ideas, better effects and of course, the fabulous Mr. Smith, this show is going to be one hell of a ride. Bring on series five!
