  • Watch her eyes guys like this comment if u saw it.

    ;)

  • ROFL shes reading from stuff that shes supposed to say did n e 1 c that? lolol

  • his voice is so annnoying!

  • its hard to focus on her message when i keep picturing her with one less breast and half a moustache...

  • @polysemousncrk Haha, as if people don't watch "MythBusters"..? You've been a#"fucked there repeatedly: ) (But just in case there are some gullible numbsculls here who have not watched "MythBusters" and/or did not pay attention at all during science class: All offers of "free energy" come from con-men: ) Cheers!!!

  • @winterstellar As if a popular TV show can overturn one hundred years of solid science.

  • @alliseleven Have people been "offering free energy" for a hundred years now? Along with snake oil and homeopathy and so on, I guess... Muahahahaaah!!

  • Oh...all that electromagnetic, filamentary phenomena is because of a neutron star....riiiiiiight.....

  • this was very useful, thank you.

  • @ 1:48, shouldn't visible be between infrared and ultraviolet?

  • Did anyone else realise her hair is off balanced? The right is longer than the left lol

  • You're not very much into fashion, are you? :P

  • the missing part is taken away by black hole :p:p

  • I'm sure she knows, you ape.

  • I notivced that first thing...I find it very annoying... I'm very obbssed with symmetry. I don't like it when things are off balance. It looks terrible...beuty is in symmery, balance, and proportions, not the opposite. Ohwell, it's her hair and her style.

  • @jaggedsymmetry: It's also been shown that perfect symmetry (created using a mirror or the equivalent) looks faintly creepy and unsettling. A little unsymmetry is a good thing.

  • How did the ancient sumerians know how many planets where in our Solar system without a telescope?

  • They ate their carrots without fail?

  • Ok, but in WWII the British air force, where the one's to say carrots are good for eye sight, because there radar was classified at the time. lol

  • ahhahaah gr8...

    Ubi.

  • The same way the Greeks knew. You can see some of the planets "wondering" with your own eyes. Did you know the brightest star in the sky is actually Venus? Also when it comes to the Sumerians those "Planets" are actually suspected as being just stars. Or the moon, the sun, and the visible planets.

Theres little know about them. Keep in mind when people are looking at their pottery, theyre sumising what the decoration means. There are no facts, just guesses.

  • @pozzerbob: They didn't.

  • can anyone else spot the two faces?

  • Picasso... ?!

    ;>

    Ubi.

  • A brilliant video! Thanks so much. Can't wait to see the others in the series!

  • I couldn't finish watching this video!

Rebbecca is all cool and sexy and I was listening to what she says and theeen...

It switches to THAT guy with a really annoying voice and well that fucked it up for me.

But thankfully it goes back to Rebecca(YAY!! ^_^)and then BACK TO FUCKTARD!??

    ENOUGH ALREADY!!!

  • @SirFoggy2Doped: Jees, do you really have that much inability to focus? Or is it just the weed?

  • @puncheex Lol,I guess I sounded like a hyperactive douche there huh?

Well I had no problem listening to the lady because she has a very pleasant voice:)

The guy however needs some voice training as his voice grated REALLY badly on my nerves and therefore made it difficult to care about what he was even saying.

  • +1 for Science

  • chill out with the curse words, You Tube fags

  • I think it was an editor at the magazine Science that once famously said: "Science is interesting and if you don't agree you can f*** off." I've noticed this is something that can be without hesitation given as a friendly answer to most comments on Youtube.

  • @omegavalerius: actually, it was Richard Dawkins while answering a question from Neil deGrasse Tyson during a panel on science education.

  • @puncheex

Yes he was quoting an editor from a publication in that comment.

  • lol she has 1 foot

  • im smarter than all of you.

  • Is her hair deliberately longer on one side? Is that fashion?

  • ...she said "naked"

  • wtf is she suppost to do, stand in the pitch black so you can see a shity cam veiw of the stars instead of a well lite studio with the hi-res photos shes talking about...hmmm???... yha, your an idiot.

  • no, noone knows shit about the universe so lets not make videos claiming shit u discovered

  • i ain't claiming that i discovered anything. but you can damn well bet that there are people out there that do! they will carry you, kicking and screaming. and in the end you will be thankful for their discoveries

  • i never said u discovered shit, i am just pointing out that a girl infront of a green screen aint fit to teach anyone shit. your head is to far up your ass, like use your head wouldnt you take a girl in an actual lab more serious? ur a dumbass

  • Well maybe its your bad English, but you specifically said "lets not make videos claiming shit u discovered"... Whatever, thats beside the point. The point is not all scientist are teachers, and they may want a nice green screen in the back to demonstrate the topic there talking about, and someone who is considered a good talker to illustrate it. (scientist are smart, but can be ockward in social situations) and why would an astronomer be in a lab?... that makes no sense at all

  • wow genius, read my very first post and then work ur way back up. dunno why u even replied to me with ur nonsense

  • i replied cause YOUR! full of nonsense, how do you not see that? and your first reply is what i in fact replied to.... lol wtf dude...

  • Sorry DuMa but are main channels VideoNews different ? ( same kit, camera, background, foreground, and sometimes even News )

and everyone blindly, believe in them..

    it isn't it ??

    Ciao.

    Ubi.

  • Gr8 video..

Zax, did you ever hear about Galileo ?

He had a very hard job in teling publically 'bout our planet roundness... it was crazy

    it isn't it ?! ;)

    Just a friend's suggestion, don't waste time with some .. bad-chars..

    Ciaoo.

    Ubi,

  • Comment removed

  • We'r not alone...

There are them also !! ;)

    Ciao.

    Ubi.

  • her f00t is missin!

  • 10:43 is it just me, or his her foot missing? I swear she had to at the beginning....

  • Nah it was missing at the beginning too!

  • lol haha you wasted your time watching the video that long

  • ... stretching from his belt to his *sword* khe, khem xD

  • Good vid.

May i ask for another one about plasma and why it´s the "fourth" state of matter?

  • solid, liquid, gas and plasma: 1,2,3,4 : )

  • That's what science is all about. Unessicerily and pesimistically critiquing females. Who gives a fuck about what shes talking about, right?

  • your spelling is atrocious. grab a dictionary before you decide to try being witty, and responding to me.

  • Perhaps you could utilize correct punctuation. Just a suggestion.

  • Actually, it is, "Perhaps, you could...", don't bring this shitball crap to me.

  • There you go, now you get it!

  • Assess your grammar (capitalization), before assaulting my spelling. Try again.

  • no, you're a fucking idiot, and can't spell. you're gonna pull "capitalization" on me, cause I called you out for being a retard? seriously, is this what you're doing? hahahaha, go die kid.

  • You still missed the point. Game over.

  • "You still missing"? lmfao, get your head checked kid. you're a dolt. Go throw yourself in traffic.

  • Go enjoy the remainder of your life in blissful ignorance.

  • He didn´t got your first point so why caring about this flamer guy?

  • I seriously don't care. Mearly for the entertainment value. My day is a little brighter when someone tells me to throw myself into traffic. :)

  • Nice shit post.

  • @lundenmetal

Can't you see her left breast is larger than her right? No symmetry ;)

  • Fantastic!

  • It will be nice when we can incorporate images from neutrino and gravitational telescopes with the electromagnetic data.

I dream of the day that we have devices so powerful they can give us naked pictures of God showering at home. Then we can sell them on the internet, pay back the public for the investments in cosmology, and hope God is embarrassed enough to pester folks in some other universe for a while.

  • I love how the science is described here - very clear and easy to understand. Great podcast, thanks!

  • I smiled at that one too... Orion's... sword... :P

  • Didn't this woman make a speech at Stanford?

  • Light moves at 300 thousand METERS per second, not kilometers.

  • you FAIL!

it is kilometers. lol at your fail.

  • Wrong,it's kilometers

  • I'm sure you just got confussed (or someone told you the wrong info) . It's just below 300,000 kilometers per second and in meters it's 299792458 meters per second. ehhh we all make mistakes from time to time. Now you know :o)) Take care. Nex

  • ohh and guys, Please don't rate Blaisems comment down, we all make mistakes. He/She I'm sure now understands that they got it wrong this time. Rating it down will also remove it and it's important to see the progression of a discussion and not remove it :o)

  • Wow Nex, I did not expect to find such a thinking and conscientious person like you on Youtube. Thanks not for saving my pride - which fears nothing from online "bullying," but for making the effort to do right by everyone and making a great example of humanity.

Granted, here it is a small scene, but it is, in my opinion, exactly this kind of behavior that's needed on the larger scenes.

And for the record: I stand corrected, speed of light does indeed move at 300,000 km/h. My mistake.

  • 6:45

    Orion's "sword" :P

  • M1 - The Crap nebulae :D

  • Can she not straighten her arms?

  • I don't believe she can.

  • This is the world I wish to live in. If only we could get the rest of us to come along. ;?(

  • well ..

I have to admit ... its explained so simple even I could understand it ... thank you for that :-)))

What I do wonder is ... where are the religius nutcases that try to explain to me that ALL of this is just because a GOD created this with us in mind and that the world is only 6000 years old !!!

Funny because they are NOT here !

    But THEY should !!!

    Brgds

    GSO

  • They would just say it's a lie.

  • I bet "the devil did it" is their favourite.

  • awesome vid

  • 1:50 - "Visible" is in the wrong place; it should be to the right of "Ultraviolet".

  • totally awesome! I'd hate to be in the way of anything going supernova...

  • The other scope that changed the way we see things would be the microscope. Thanks to the microscope, we know about cells and how they perfom living functions. All life on earth is made of cells. Cells give rise to other cells but the new cells are a bit different than the parent or parents. Thanks to science, we understand many things that we used to explain with ancient fairytales. Some folks still cling to those old unsupported tales. Sad but true. Telescopes also drop-kick holy books.

  • Lovely ,but what happens when a major sun eruption ,or an asteroid collide with earth ? bye bye. thanks but a lot of this science is a waste of money that could better be used on social services here. Not pretty pictures ! thanks anyway

  • Are you really that stupid? The only chance we have of surviving as a species in the long term is through exactly this sort of science as well as the manned space program. Screw social services if you want a leg up don't depend on the state go out and earn it.

  • Very cool! Do you not just love science, and how everything can be independently verified? ;O) ★★★★★

    Katalyzt

  • did she launch one of her feet with a recent telescope?

  • I love the idea that we are sight impaired here on earth...We need to escape in order to really have a chance to 'see' the cosmos.

    Awesome

  • Just like a metaphor for life ain't it? lol We must shed out Earthly attachment in order to truly understand the grandure that evades us daily ~ and we often take for granted.

    Stunning - truly stunning.

  • I don't think what she's wearing is Starfleet approved.

  • She keeps making the same hand gestures. o.O

  • she's a robot

  • A robot???? Mmm, and I was trying to assess her boobs. Darn you robot!

  • Yeah - we are having a problem getting their hair right.

  • Excellent podcast. =)

  • those hands are useful for strangling someone..

  • 7:52 there it is PROOF that god does exist!

...either that or it's a space ghost lol

  • Great video XD

  • very interesting

  • love it thx ^^

  • Someone should glue her hands to her hips :)

    Great video though...

  • Maybe she is Italian? They go mute when you tie their hands. LOL

  • I wasn't aware italians had that stereotype

  • I suppose all "Ethnics" do. I am Mexican and they say we go mute when our hands are tied LOL

I think they can say the same about all of them.

  • I propose that these hand gestures are leftover remnants of language that we really no longer understand fully. I do notice they are not as dominant in cultures like Norse, Dane, Swed and so on.

I suspect there was a time in which these served a more solid purpose. Now these gestures have been passed on a social mannerism rather than the original language purpose they were originated for.

    Any takers on that ideal?

  • XD Haha, lol.

  • lmao :)))
