man! i grew up watching public domain,....shackle me not,....search for animal chin....but this song was always my fav...and always stood out. Great cover! loved it!!
In the same vein as cheese and crackers, i wish a pro would produce a fun part like this, with heaps of just cool fun flatland tricks. not switch laser flips [cool as they are] just dont seem like they're having a lot of fun
Original is by Odd man out, Steve Cabelleros band, was used in Public domain or Ban this for Cab, McGill and Mountain street skating. Its way better than this one.
wow, thanks a million for these posts! we hardly felt the heat of the Houston summers at that age skating and reviewing public domain. this was OUR skate video BIBLE, dammit ! i remember the first time i landed backside three sixty no-complys entirely airborne (without the 180 pivot out) thought i invented them! thought ray barbee woulda been so proud!haha! i was never the best in any skate circle by far, and I STILL SKATE- GET IT? long live those days, those times, and the greats!!!!!!!
I like this more than the original, has a real raw sound to it...I remember watching this 20 years ago when skateboarding was more than just flip tricks and spoiled kids....
LOL same memories - we dreamt of the smooth roads and pavements of California, not to mention the year round sunshine (we all grew up skating in wet cold and poorly concreted London, England!)
Ive been looking for this for YEARS!! A few years ago when I did a search NOTHING came up for McRad..im so happy they have a myspace page and this...this is the real shit. Gnarley!!
I'll give you a C for effort if you're just starting out. I know there's supposed to be some distortion in that guitar, but damn bro, there's a little too much in there.
Anybody who is interesting in hearing the original should check out McRad's myspace page. "Weakness" is one of the songs he has posted, and I believe it's downloadable.
Not sure what youtube's policy on posting links is, so you're on your own from here. :)
oh no man, this version of weakness sucks!! it is meant well but the original cant be beaten! chuck treece would run mad if he would hear this one, anyway, skaterock means everything for me, specially mcrad and the drunk injuns!
yeah probably, we just started recording not too long ago. our recordings are getting better by the day... so hopefully next time i post a vid we won't have that problem. good ear!
Hello, i am from Argentine and this video remember me skateborading when i was 16 years old.i want to ask you what is the name of this song and the BAND who sound it .THANK YOU.

Sweet, did'nt know that. Think cab was in a band, bass player, pretty sure its odd man out, but not this tune clearly/
pipalooch 2 years ago
I think Steve was in a bunch of bands, Odd Man Out, The Faction Soda... probably more than that!
Bones Brigade tour came through my town in the late 80's but Steve wasn't with them. Rats.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Turns out, the author altered the soundtrack (see author video comments).

Just be honest the original is far superior to this.
Chuck doesn't "sing" on this song anymore.
Although this version is better than most post "public domain" version's I've heard.
Enough choppy lyrics, sing damn'it!
