LPNs are NOT been phased out. A lot of the hospitals are not hiring LPNs. Where I live LPNs are still been hired in hospitals. Ppl have been saying LPNs is going to be the thing of the pass for 30 years now. Hospitals hire CNAs n PCTs to do some thing that LPNs do because it is cheaper same for doctor's office they will hire a medical assistant because it is cheaper. There are still jobs for LPNs such as LTC,home health care. Good luck on your journey!!
I also have made simple yet major changes that could affect my health in the future...just months after working in a nursing home such as striving to exercise regularly and watching what I eat...if you use a cd player or mp3 player while working out have you noticed how quickly the time flies when listening to your favorite music?..working out to stay healthy and listening to your favorite music..the best of both! :)
