Bollocks is a 16th century slang word for Priest. As in man of the cloth, thats how they were allowed bollocks to be emblazoned on their 1977 album ,now that`s ANARCHY!!
He's under the impression that show two was taped by a mate but came out awful and unlistenable and might have been binned. If not and it exists I'll post info :) x
Correct Simianmind..:) Most of this appears to be be culled from 'No Fun' but IS from 4/6/76. Buzzcocks didn't feel ready to perform although billed as support, and were hastily replaced by 'Solstice' a North West hippy outfit. The second performance on 20/07/76 has never surfaced as audio but I'm in contact with the alleged taper of this.
@ The6thSimpson They did 2 gigs in Manchester that influenced the UK music scene massively leading to The buzzcocks, the fall, joy division, the smiths,Factory records, and even simply red if this is correct then this is from the first gig, which something like 35-40 people attended and was organised by 2 of the later to be buzzcocks (who supported the sex pistols at the second gig)
Just think brotherhood of man and 10cc were around then and David Essex, and i never got to see these, what a rock revolution,i remember hearing Maclaren going round the pubs in Manchester giving some free tickets saying this is a new revolution, you must see them.
