  • Lot's of amazing memories there :)

I too have lost my mother....it never gets any easier, does it?!

Cheers to you, for a job very well done.

  • What a BEAUTIFUL, loving tribute to your mother, Sandi! I am SO sorry...I had no idea! I was just coming to your channel to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and found out the news. My heart goes out to you at this time. Love, Kathleen in Italy

  • Oh Kathleen, it's ok. She didn't just pass away recently, I put the memorial up as a tribute to her on the 19th anniversary of her passing.

I'm OK, it was just something I've done the last couple of years. :)

    Thanks just the same though!!

    Hugs,

    Sandi

  • Still, a BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE to your mom, Sandi!

  • Thanks Voice :)

I'm still trying to figure out if I know you under another name...

    Any hints?

    Sandi

  • This is a great and moving tribute to your mom Sandi!! I can see her in you!! Great parents are a wonderful thing!

  • i have lost both of my parents, no disrespect to my father at all (dad and i were closer actually) but nothing blindsided me like loosing my mom. as a mom i know what she did for me from conception on, it is so very special. i can tell you are a wonderful mom and woman from your videos.

happy (day after) mothers day to you :)

  • Hi Eden,

I know what you mean about feeling blindsided. My parent's were divorced when I was about 8. I lived with my mom until I got married at 21. So, she and I were closer than me & my dad. Well, to make a long story short....my dad is now almost 91 and has been living with my family for 14 years. Our relationship is good, just different than that of a mother & daughter.

Thanks for the mother's day wishes...you're still on time in my time zone! LOL

    =)

    Sandi

  • lol i should be asleep, just not one of those days :)

i cared for my dad until he passed a year ago this month (the 20th). we were very close, he cut orions umbilical cord even. i spent the better half of my adult life caring for him.

that is how we became so close.

but i loved my mom like i could love no one else but my son. no one else could love you the same, it is such a bond.

hope the boys are doing well, we love yalls vids

    Sandi

  • This was such a lovely tribute to your mom. She looks like a wonderful woman.

You know my grandmother was also named Inez? One more thing in common! :0)

  • No way......another Inez?

    Ok, this is getting freaky...

If you tell me that your name is Sandi, then I'll officially be freaked out. LOL

  • LOL No. :0) It's Joyce!

But my MIL's name is Sandi...and she spells it with an i.

  • Quasi-freaked out here, lol....

    this is too funny!

Should we take this to IM's or emails at this point?

  • What a beautiful tribute! She looked like she had a irrepresible joie de vivre!

  • Thanks Beth. She was a good person with a good heart. :) What more could we have asked for in a mom?

    {{{}}}

    Sandi

  • Exactly :) It showed!

  • That was so beautiful! Your mom was so young...

    Joanie

  • Thank you Joanie. Yes, she was only 62. She had 3 heart attacks within 3 days. It was very rough and unexpected on all of us. The family has never been the same.

    Sandi

  • Sandi,

I know the feeling, my mom died in 1999 - there's a void that will never be filled.

    Joanie

  • Your Mom was a beautiful Lady.

    RIP

    HUGGS

  • Thank you Lana. She was inside & out. I learned tolerance, acceptance and patience from her, three qualities that I'm proud to have.

    Sandi

  • Blessings to you and your family! AMEN! HUGS xoxoxo

  • Thank you Peggy, I appreciate it.

    My thoughts are still with you after the losses that you've had this past week. {{{}}}

    Sandi

  • Ah, that's so sweet honey! I'm sure she watches over you and your beautiful boys! Great version of Amazing Grace, I've never heard this one.

  • Hi Ruth, I just looked it up and Amazing Grace was performed by Malford Milligan and Friends. I think it was a very nice rendition. Thanks for the sweet comment. {{{}}} Sandi

  • Totally awesome video Sandi...Yer mama would be so dadgum proud! Simply beautiful maam.

  • Thank you Joy {{{{}}}} It's hard to believe that it's already been 18 years, yet, it seems like forever.

    Sandi

(PS...did you get a couple of annoying messages on your voicemail today? LOL)

  • I aint been home yet... but will be heading that way soon...will check then :) Im all exicted to hear the machine now!

  • Oh, it was just me....I got a kick out of something that I have the feeling you haven't seen yet. (Or at least I haven't heard a squeal come from the Arkansas area yet....lol...I'll know when you see it).

  • What a beautiful tribute to remember your Mom..

  • Thank you Ruthe, :)

    Sandi

  • ((((Sandi)))) beautiful memories of your Mom, thanks so much for sharing :))) You can rest assured that she smiles upon you everyday and is so very proud of the wonderful woman you have become. Happy New Year! xoxoxoxox

  • Ok Shelly, dang it, I'm not a cryer, but now you've got me sitting here sniffling & drippy eyed. The other tough thing for me personally is that she never got to meet my sons. They are so much like her. I do try to find peace in the fact that if there is a heaven, she's up there watching over my daughter (Alex's twin). Now where the heck did I put that kleenex?

    Sandi

  • Thanks Cory. She would have gotten such a kick out of the whole internet thing. And, being that she was the good ol' gal from Savannah that she was, I just KNOW that she would have loved TG to death!

    I think one of the things I miss most is hearing her voice, that's why I had Joy say "w" and "shrimp" last week, lol. Normally just a hint of Paula Deen will do the trick for me. Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. Mwah back atcha!{{{}}}
