@BeerGeekNation I was running behind due to the holidays and I want to get to #300 before January. I've got to edit up a "Year of Beer 2011" as well. Busy me.
Great review, Yeah I its a great beer. I can see why you gave it an A as it has mellowed and the blend has melded. I think 15 will be one that you do want to age.
Have a bottle of this and XV sitting in the fridge. Looking forward to cracking my 14 eventually. I did have it fresh and really enjoyed it. Surprised to see you didn't give it an A+, honestly. Not because I necessary think it's without question an A+ or anything like that, but because I don't think I've seen a review where it ISN'T rated an A+ or equivalent, haha.
I'd love to try this but I'm rather happy drinking Kernel Imperial Brown Stout right now.
Firestone Walker are one of THEE brewerys that I want to try more from. No fuss and no "You need to buy a ticket, do a handstand, sell your mother, camp out for 4 days" nonsense just amazing, graceful beer.
@HopZine I wish I could get some Kernel stuff here in the States. I've heard really amazing things about their beers. FW14 isn't as rare as some other stuff that's out there, but it's still pretty rare. We don't get FW in Michigan so I'm lucky to have friends who will send it to me.

It's so damn hard to do a short review on their anniversary blends. I have my review of 15 going up tomorrow. Yeah, I can see this being an 'A' beer now as it has mellowed out in the last year. I wish I had more bottles of it though. Glad you enjoyed it!
@StumpyJoeJr Yeah, it was an amazing beer but I didn't think it was QUITE worth an A+. Very very close though. If I had another bottle I'd definitely stash it for awhile to see how it aged.
sounds EPIC! A lot of people say this is on par if not superior to Parabola. I have to trade with Ryan for a bottle!

@ChadzBeerReviews I'll be doing Parabola in the next couple of days. It'll be my very last review of the year.

Great review. I have a bottle of this in the cellar that I've been aging for over a year. Did you get 15?

@Tantrum777 I'll definitely age the 15 then when I get it. Sounds like 15 wasn't nearly as good as 14.

@paternzen Heh. I was tempted to give it an A+ but I didn't think it QUITE got there. It's really a semantic thing anyway. Cheers!

@StumpyJoeJr Sometimes a beer deserves more than 6 mins...some beers are that good I could record a 30 mins video.
