What a precious video! I do miss those times but I hate when people say "She's all grown up now, she can't be little forever so just get over it." Just because she is grown doesn't mean she can't sing opera. Charl says she still has her opera voice. Can you imagine how even more beautiful it would have been today if she would have stuck with it? She seemed to have such a passion for it. I guess it wasn't a "true" passion or she would still be singing it today.
The words are Latin: Merciful Jesus, Merciful Jesus, Merciful Jesus, Merciful Jesus You who take away the sins of the world Grant them peace Grant them everlasting peace Lamb of god, lamb of god, lamb of god, lamb of god You who take away the sins of the world Grant them peace Grant them everlasting peace Everlasting, peace everlasting
Lord, have mercy Lord, have mercy You who take away the sins of the world
Grant them rest Grant them rest Lamb of God, Lamb of God Lamb of God, Lamb of God. You who take away the sins of the world - Grant them rest - Grant them rest - rest everlasting, everlasting. Lamb of God, Lamb of God - Lamb of God, Lamb of God. You who take away the sins of the world- Grant them rest,Grant them rest. Rest everlasting, everlasting
please dont get my hopes up because when she switched genre's i was very upset but one can hope she will return to classical music, she was one of the best if not the best in my opinion a rare talent gone astray
@candacecromson, I've thought about this myself lately. She's had her pop experimental phase, she's raising two small kids, is doing more TV, but it's important to realize she's STILL only 23, which is amazing. I think as she matures, as her kids get older, she'll rediscover where her true talent lies. I think it's good that she experiments with some other things though...it'll make her appreciate her gifts as a classical vocalists. As a pop singer, she blends in with all the others...
Pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu Qui tollis peccata mundi Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem Pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu Qui tollis peccata mundi Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei Qui tollis peccata mundi Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem Dona eis requiem Sempiternam Dona eis requiem Sempiternam Requiem Sempiternam
I love her. I saw her years ago, when she was in her teens. She was in a Jewish center in San Diego, singing Christmas songs. It was so serreal. I had tears running down my face. She sounds like an Angel!
Delightful. Charlotte has been a real blessing, her voice a gift from above. Michael Bannet also a superb treble, although it doesn't show here in the second chair. A wonderful pairing.
I totally agree with u on that one. She was so good in classical music and she said that she wasnt ever gonna do pop, but she did. Classical music is much better music for her than pop music.
@Blissycat No! Sorry, you can not be right. This girl has not tossed away anything. Anyone who can sing like this is "condemned" to sanctify anything he/she does. Even pop music. What can be more desirable, than having real artists in the field of pop music, just to bring it back to where it was once upon a time?
They both have amazing voice,we are singing this in my choir class.

I wish she still sang this kind of music. I'd rather listen to this than listen to her pop.

i wonder who coughed at 1:38? Why did he have to ruin the moment for the people sitting beside him by disturbing the their peace.

cale902 1 year ago
@cale902 I think the song was written in 1985.
ChrisPackham 1 year ago
@ChrisPackham --the song is a famous thirteenth century Latin hymn thought to be written by Thomas of Celano. A traditional part of a Requiem Mass.
sandyboffa 1 year ago
@ChrisPackham not even close. it was written in the 13th century. i guess they just had a typo when they typed in the date?

@cale902 It's 1995 I guess but she doesn't look like 9 yrs old... then again... my seven year old looks like 11

She is supposedly making a return to her Classical roots, or so she stated a few years back. Time will tell.

Why did she stop to sing classical music? She could have become one of the greatest interpret of sacred music, this is really a pity.
(Sorry for my poor English).
