I got the chance to view a traveling production of this show from Las Vegas. I'm pretty sure I left a piece of my heart in that theater. This show is amazing.

@uberawesome12 There is nothing wrong with it, it's just very conventional and mainstream. Well, I say that, I personally hate Wicked, but I'm simply trying to point out that our friend here doesn't know good Musical Theatre because this is one of the best shows ever written.

I love the way she sings "That I can do." For me it's the most touching part of this song. Coming across this show is like discovering a beautiful little secret that you and only a select few others are a part of.

@rebelsinger123 I'm fairly sure that content (by which I assmue you mean substantive, resonant content), realism, and a decent musical score are not mutually exclusive things. The songs from this POS musical remind me of the kind of 'talking songs' we all make up when we're 7 years old. No need for a chorus or a bridge, just an endless line of conversational patter with no discernible melody to be found.

@benskelly Isn't that the point? This isn't a song and dance musical, which is what a musical with a chorus and bridge usually is. This is a conversational musical as it is the way the two characters communicate the entire show. That being said, I adore this musical just as much as I adore Oklahoma or Wicked or The Phantom of the Opera or Into the Woods or Fiddler on the Roof or Carnival. It's different, which is a good thing.

@benskelly I am confused though... how is this song dreary? The intent behind it is of love. It's sad in the grand scheme of the musical, as you already know the characters' marriage doesn't make it, but the song itself isn't sad.
