That was amazing POV!!!! You did a great job of holding the camera still, but i would raise it a bit if you ever do it again, so you can see ahead of you a little more.

As a matter of fact, it was just before my son went to Iraq he went with me too.
We flew all over hitting as many parks as possible:
Kings Dominion, Six Flags in Maryland, DC, Six Flags Magic Mountain, a LOT of rides/coasters in Vegas, and we live near Orlando so have done all of the Universal/Islands of Adventure many times but NONE of them are as good as Cedar Point.
Make sure when you go, to stay in one of their hotels (the least expensive is just off the peninsula BREAKERS EXPRESS. Then you pay for Saturday (or Saturday and Sunday) and get to go on Friday Night Free. That's if you go after school starts back up and they're only open on weekends. They open at 6PM on Friday and you both get to go free that night.
wow! that wouls be funn! I never thought of the camera between the legs i was thinking in your hands :) lol.... i would never of made it with in my hand but my legs i'll keep that in mind.
haha! My method is to tuck in your shirt and roll it right where the lapbar goes. Once your on the lift untuck ur shirt, although one time i couldnt get it out, and it sucked, but if ou get your shirt out, then you will fly inches off your seat on some of the rides!
I'm proud of you. best ride in the world, I've had my share of rides and this is IT!

Im in the UK, but at some point in my life I have to go to Cedar Point man. That first drop is INSANE!!

We did, and I go back every 2 years (2 new rides). So I'll be going back in the fall of 2008. Can't Wait !!!

The lapbar is down tight on your legs so you don't need to hold on to anything and you can hold the camera quite easily.
BUT here's how you get a THRILL !!!!
It has to be raining. You wear a poncho.
When the guy walks by to push your lap bar down, you pick your butt up off the seat.
He pushes it down and THEN you sit down.
NOW you have about a 3" space between you and the lapbar. LOTS and LOTS of air time !!!

the camera was in my hands
I was holding it with both hands
the lap bar was pressed down across my legs so I wouldnt fly up and could stay steady without holding on.
The part about the poncho and lifting yourself off the seat is when you're not videoing. :-)
