Wow, it's amazing how much kit you have crammed into that pouch! Great video. You've got a lot of well chosen gear.

Have you used the WetFire stuff much? I've found that if you get any pinhole leaks in the wrapper the stuff is completely worthless. I prefer hexamine (eg Esbit) or a wax/PJ/Gel-Wax soaked cotton ball.

It's a shame you folks in Europe labor under such restrictive knife regulations. I can't imagine hitting the woods without a good fixed blade.

Well thought out kit. Great vid. Shame about our strict laws here in the UK as I much prefer a fixed blade knife but have to hide it well in my pack each time I go for a stroll in the woods..

On my M1 I prefer to attach my reflector/LED strap around the pouch flap, so I don't need to remove it to access the pouch. This also means that if I put the pouch down, I can turn on the strap and always find my kit again. Also you can rotate it around to the underside of the flap and use it to light the contents, multi use!

How big is the H1 compared to the M1?

That is one awesome pouch (H1) and a superb kit you put together there, I am amazed at how much you can get in it! That little folding saw is amazing too, never seen anything like that before! also impressed with that tin too, great with a screw on lid! Great video - am looking forwards to seeing you use this kit for an overnight stay.  Maxpedition gear is addictive :) Thank God my girlfriend hasn't seen the price list ! - really informative vid, I'm gonna watch it again and take note of some of the pieces of gear. I also own the H1, and agree with all that you say about it - I wish this video had been around when I was deciding about getting it, there are very few on youtube. Great channel - many thanks.

Great video brother! Very elaborate kit. I tend to lean more towards just a backpack and not so much a waistpack. But I completely understand that there is a difference. One is a more EDC type kit, and the other is a full kit. The benefits of a backpack is the ability to carry a full kit with less disposable items. Can't wait for what you will offer in 2012!
