can this be used on any nokia or other phones, or does it requires a certain kind of phone with either wifi or radio transmitter for sending the messages...
really really cool though... i luvd is as much as the morph, but will it be availabe every where, coz i am from India, and will it be determined by the cellular providers?
holy shit. saaks rahat takaisin pelkästään tämän näkemisestä? vaikken kyllä koskaan tule enää harkitsemaan nokian tuotteita. kohta on työttömiä suomessa vähän enemmän kun paskaluurit voidaan hoitaa kokonaan ulkomailla.
doesn't have to be a party, could be at a coffee shop or even if you are at a party maybe you want to meet someone outside your group of friends.. because let's face it: who wants to date a friend's ex or a relative of a friend?
people start forgetting how to start a real conversation with someone at the coffee and simple things like that. U dont need a 100+ dollar device to start talking to a friend who is sitting at a nearby table chatting with other friends..! Doesn't that sound too stupid.. ? And why is that dumbo always holding his cell phone even during the party. Somehow I get the feeling that nokia has got talent.. but mostly the wrong ones..!
@iphone3GUS i think this thing is vicinity based and BBM is a messenger, u can talk to anyone anywherei n the world... this doesn't use data so i'm assuming it uses bluetooth? don't know,., thats what i'm wondering.
@nkhan4 it uses the device’s adhoc wifi. Which is pretty smart and makes the whole thing free. Credits to the students at Tampere University of Technology and Nokia for coming up with it.
@XpliciTTRecords I don't know much about the ad-hoc system, but i think its just wi-fi using a different protocol, so any wi-fi nokia phone with this software running should work. At least thats what i think.
@MA3LK Th reason I asked was because, ad-hoc isn't openly available in my country, we mostly use Wifi and even that isn't something you can just walk around and acquire the best thing for this app would be to run on 3G or EDGE
@XpliciTTRecords This will probably only be available on the high end Nokia phones, but im think that any phone with wifi would be capable of running a ad-hoc network. This is good because it only relies on the phones and no external network so there is no costs involved. Its the phone that is providing the wi-fi network. I hope you understand what im saying.
the model is pretty! hahahah... nokia rocks!
