I dunno what he's talking about either. I'm 44 and I was 16/17 in 1981 and you would have been 13/14 then by my maths. What's so unusual about that? I started going to gigs in 1979 and I'd have been 15.
The keyboard player looked very young and I kinda laughed to myself that he probably wasn't even born last time this line-up had played together.
Two fantastic nights at the Forum. Got the live CDs to relive the gigs...How the hell do they produce those discs so quickly (10 minutes after the show ends)?
I too saw KJ several times in the early eighties and it always seemed that Dead or Alive and Danse Society were the support act, although once saw them with Lemon Kittens supporting. Shame the support this weekend were so shite.
Lemon Kittens were a duo featuring Danielle Dax. They wore loin cloths and body paint and little else. I can't say that I recall what the music was like (little wonder really).
The images flashing up on the screens were quite powerful too and they were different on both nights.
I have to say that although Saturday was billed as "Pandemonium" night, they played very little from that particular album and they did repeat a few songs from the set on Friday. Not a compliant, it was still awesome.
I cant rememeber em ? "Pandemonium" night, yes not good that 4 songs were short, i know some people were very pi**ed off with that! Like you say still amamzing though....
karl blake was the other half of lemon kittens thier lp was called the dentist chair and on the same label as TG,sex gang children and portion control.. and went on to form a band called shock headed peter...
Pure Mania was stood 1ft in front of us I saw him filming it Kingofpunk.I reckon better than 1980. He was there & so were we & thats all that matters. Thank you very much for filming poss best gig ever!!
Actually you did a bit & I was thinking why bother filming mate get into the gig. Now I'm grateful as I can re live whenever as it was from the same view as where I was standing.Well done good quality sound too.
