@ecwfanatic - l grew up watching this show back in 1996 on UPN, they cancelled it out right in the middle of the season, it took me 15 years to get it and l finally bought the whole series on ebay and it feels so damn good to watch the rest of the series where they cancelled it and l recently rewatched it again on my 50" screen TV/Home Theater System too.

I watched this when I was 10 (if not younger), but damn it's one hell of a depressing anime. (spoilers) His family get's captured by aliens making him lose part of his family and friends then his dad rescues him who then dies. He lands alone on earth has to fight his friends, family even his twin brother and later on has to witness his younger sister blow herself up. And if that wasn't enough he has to kill both his twin and older brother and in the end he turns into a crippled amnesiac.

dont forget when his sister (the pink teknoman suit) made the appereance and was trying to fight that guy and since she couldn't win, she blew herself up to kill the guy, unfortunately the guy survived and she killed herself for no reason. i never saw the end of these series but the ending you said is sad.

the music on this version is better than the japanese and the narrator really helps on some boring sequences, the original version lacks of any emotion when we talk about music and what they cutted out like the gay guy you wont even notice if you dont see the japanese version which i remark again is boring

The -only- thing wrong with this show were the teknoman vs spidercrab fights. Honestly; too many "HYAAAAAA! HUYAAH!" going on :D. That aside, I loved this anime, despite it being horribly censored.

I loved this I think more than Dragonball Z. I started this back in the early 90's as I grew up and loved the "techno" music intro. I never knew what happend to the series and all these years later I did a wiki search and learn it has a very sad ending? Slade defeats Darkon but is paralyzed in a wheelchair and has amnesia? :*(

Yeah I know they got the Japanese intro but they have this for the end of disk track. I had to order this from the US in 3 installments. In total it cost me $120 AUD but it's freaking worth every cent. Channel that feature anime like Sci-fi and ABC need to re-air this epic chapter of anime history, and those who disrespect it should be tied to a post and incinerated.

When they came out with the remastered collection (and I bought both) I so badly hoped it was the American theme. Sadly...its the 70s-80s J-rock -horror- that was the original theme. I mean this theme is up there for Voltron's USA version for getting a kickass theme in the dub.

It was on UPN on Sunday mornings so I'm not too shocked. At the time, I only remember knowing only one other kid that liked the showas much as me. Even DBZ wasn't a hit on tv back then though. If this show had ever made it to Toonami, it might have done better.
