turn your hands over so the forehand of the blade is facing the ice and point it where you want the puck to go turn your hands so when you finish the shot the back of your lower hand is facing up and the palm of your upper hand are also facing up another helpful tip would be to as your stick hits the ice behind the puck pick your head up and look at where you want to shot your hands will tend to follow where you eyes are looking making for good shot bend your knees too get the flex goingPRACTICE
put more weight on your stick and DO NOT turn you blade facing out cuz it will make a crappy shot. just bend your knees put weight on your stick, hit the ice a couple of inches before the puck and with practice i will be good. but you really need to practice it. and to start off maybe you should take a stick with a little more flex.. i dont know you but maybe start off with a 80 flex maybe judging that your 19.. and then move up depending on your weight and power
Think of it like this. You know how to take a wrist shot and get it off the ice right? Well its basically the same principal, you want the puck in the exact same spot by your body. When youre taking a wrist shot you pull the puck close and right before you rip it, its by your inside foot. Thats the same possition you want to have the puck for a slapper. It seems kinda awkward at first but thats there you get the most torque.
maybe cuz you use a junior stick duuhhh and it isnt the flex that counts the most its the pressure on the stick and the weight.. cuz everybody can flex a twig..does it have power NO !..

That couldn't have been a hard shot, the stick didn't even hit the ice or flex very much.
autopilotoff3323 2 years ago
you obviously don't play hockey.
ImJesus69007 2 years ago
@autopilotoff3323 Stick drug on the ice a few inches, and who's to say that isn't a high flex stick?

Bam294 3 years ago
as long as its hard and on net it should be on the ice or a few inches to a foot off the ice
that way people in front of the net can tip it
