I have a live bootleg from 72 and he hits all the high notes on this one! He gave all he had to give(no pun) on stage! He destroyed his voice for all of us to enjoy for a lifetime! Some of you guys should try it!
@persbol It's because he is. His voice got worse after around 1972 and was noticeably cracking in live performances when he went for high notes night after night, so he had to improvise lower notes a lot of the time.
@pianomansoon the piano is the instrument for loud and soft or so said its italiaian createor pls arrange this somg softly with loud cresendos if udo let me now have fun
@dockaiser Indeed, he did, yet alot of people tend to think it was all Jimmy Page. Its true Jimmy did pretty well signaturize the riff, still JPJ is definantly the best musician of the band, and the brains behind the music, and is well underrated.
@bikkk57 This whole band was awesome at every instrument. Bonham was one of the best, if not THE best drummer in the biz. JPJ was a phenomenal bassist, mandolin player, keyboardist. Jimmy Page was insanely good. Robert Plant had great range as a singer.
there are a lot of "over the hills and far away" live. but, jesus, this one has something special. i dont jnow why, it makes me wanna be with the girl i love, man
alison krauss is a blue grass artist whith a beautiful voice but that is just a stage name she barrowed it from a 15 year old run away killed at the kent state shooting
Thanks so much dude, this is my favourite live zep track. Jones & Bonham are so so heavy, then add Page's grungy guitar on top: rock and roll will never get any better
