  • Acapulco gold is a type of marijuana. lol

  • I have a live bootleg from 72 and he hits all the high notes on this one! He gave all he had to give(no pun) on stage! He destroyed his voice for all of us to enjoy for a lifetime! Some of you guys should try it!

  • these people can go over the hills and far away

  • JHC everyone thinks they're Lester Bangs!

  • A BIG FUCK AT PEOPLE WHO SAYS ZEP SUCKS ON STAGE !

  • who the fuck are 5 idiots who didnt like this? are you kidding me?

  • Saw them in Seattle that year and a couple other time. What memories! Thanks for posting this.

  • fuck, robert plant can never sing like he does in the recording studio , its like he's always playing it safe live never trying to hit the high notes

  • @persbol It's because he is. His voice got worse after around 1972 and was noticeably cracking in live performances when he went for high notes night after night, so he had to improvise lower notes a lot of the time.

  • @persbol Try to hit all of the high notes, night after night man, I know I couldn't and neither could you, so leave Robert Plant alone

  • EPIC AND ALWAYS WILL BE :)

  • @gabbybonham ... i agree ... if he wasn't O say 70 years old i'd marry him

  • Hot damn that solo is smoking. This is a great version.

  • I love this song I have a piano arrangement of over the hills and far away on piano. check it out!

  • Awesome song and a well done video!

  • Madison Square 1975 but what day????????

  • Wednesday.

  • love led so much dont here music like anymore

  • 5:50 here's the breakdown everyone has waiting for. FUCK that's good music

  • this is the second best guitar riff ever. close to kashmir. Jimmy page owns

  • Unfortunaly for you in all universal poll ypu make Stairway to Heaven is the best guitar riff in rock story.

    Satisfaction comes close.

  • what about ramble on?

  • @smiffsmoff902 Thats debatable man, I kinda think black dog is the best, but no matter Jimmy Page owns all!

  • @bikkk57 JohnPaul Johns came up with the "BlackDog" riff

  • @dockaiser Indeed, he did, yet alot of people tend to think it was all Jimmy Page. Its true Jimmy did pretty well signaturize the riff, still JPJ is definantly the best musician of the band, and the brains behind the music, and is well underrated.

  • @bikkk57 This whole band was awesome at every instrument. Bonham was one of the best, if not THE best drummer in the biz. JPJ was a phenomenal bassist, mandolin player, keyboardist. Jimmy Page was insanely good. Robert Plant had great range as a singer.

  • there are a lot of "over the hills and far away" live. but, jesus, this one has something special. i dont jnow why, it makes me wanna be with the girl i love, man

  • Thanks for posting this, it's great to find something like this on here.

  • Brilliant, thanks for posting. I can't get enough of these guys, musical gods all of them.

  • I was just going to say, Roberts voice is amazing, especially in this take of the song, right in the beginning of the song it has that crazy tremelo

  • One of the most brilliant tunes of all time.

May times ive lied, many times ive listend.

  • alison krauss is a blue grass artist whith a beautiful voice but that is just a stage name she barrowed it from a 15 year old run away killed at the kent state shooting

  • Where was this? Sounds like MSG 75' Feb 11th I think but Im probably mistaken.

  • Feb 12, 1975 I believe was the date of the "Flying Circus" concert.

  • Only one day out, means the boot I have has the wrong date on it then haha

  • like the way jimmy does the guitar in the intro

  • That was some bad ass weed ;)

  • Mechamacon

  • I love this version, it used to be posted by someone else....their description said it was in chicago, just sayin

4:56 - 5:04 were my favorite notes from this version
