I wish Nintendo/SEGA would let the innumerable stars tell where to go. I really don't think it'll be a long long run to make a server in the sun. Wii(play on words) all have hopes and dreams, and dammit Nintendo/SEGA, take us across the sea to the whole new world that shines like a pearl.
@Corndog3003 Unfortunately, it's only going to be on PC, but at the same time it means everyone gets to enjoy the online experience, bad thing is no one knows whether or not that PSO2 will be continuing off of PSO, and the lack of anything relating to PSO2 is making it hard to speculate where or when the game will take place.
Nonetheless, I'm interested in seeing this game come out, sooner than later, but Japan will need to complete the game first.
@13lace Good point, if it's an entirley new game, like PSU, I doubt it be worth playing. I'm hoping what they will do is keep the old art, revamp the graphics, stay on Ragul (I think thats how its spelled) and maybe revive some bosses. Like you said though, they need to finish it first :/

By "better" I hope they mean they're going to revamp the gameplay in PSO, and who knows It might still be Ragol, since all the things I found for it so far, said something about Pioneer 3.
PSO ep. 1&2/+ took place on Pioneer 2 so maybe we'll get to meet the true heroes that defeated Dark Falz. There was even a hint in the trailer that said something about Pure/True Dark Falz.
Remake it with some aspects of PSU, If you combine the right things... made the proper enemy AI, made everything near perfect like in PSO... you'd have one of the best games ever.
The closest we're probably going to get (at least for a while) is Phantasy Star Zero, so you can just get that. It's looking fantastic, though, so you'll be in for a treat.

i agree with you; PSO completely rocked and with a few PSU aspects, it'd be the perfect game. but PSO is in the past, unfortunately :( we have the new ones to look forward, but i dont think they'll be remaking PSO :():
Yeah buddy PS Zero is the PSO/PSU combo you are talking about. They have brought back the traditional mags and classes whilst adding the Photon Arts from PSU.
Though you are right, it is much like PSO and PSU together, it's still not THAT great.
The combat is a tad sluggish having many weapons be very slow, and too many photon arts that take several seconds to charge up to use [inwhich the Charging is a bad idea in my opinion]
There are FAR to few bosses in the game [a grand total of FIVE, where PSO, post-Dreamcast, had 8, and PSU, though reskinned many a time, had 11, ]
Simply there wasn't enough in PSZ to make it TRUELY replace PSO... :/
I see... well Sega hasnt been on top form in recent years and I am disappointed to hear that it isnt as good as it should be. Still a console version may be better.
@garanzbaranz The artwork in PSZ being a disgrace to PSO may have something to do with that. As much as people complain about PSU for not being PSO, and PSO for not being PS, I think Zero turned out to be the worst of the litter in that regard.
Well you can now play online for free via scht's hack server. Its a great server with a wonderful community but they are lacking in the gamecube department. Everyone plays blue burst and you can also! Just go to google and type in schtserv. Keep the community going!
