They were thrash from No Mercy to Painted Blood all the way. Huge respect for that since 90% of all bands usualy change their music and their sound to gain more audience.

I remember meeting Tom Araya behind Sam The Record Man during a meet and greet for the Divine Intervention tour.Everyone else had albums posters et al to be signed whereas I had 2 blanks full of my favourite songs of the time. Tom was first in line and I explained to him that it was 2 blanks full of my fave songs. Not only was he genuinely interested but he actually stood up, opened up the tapes and spent a considerable amount of time perusing the setlist, then he shook my hand. Very cool guy.
