Dont get me wrong, I love british period dramas, they are the best and as I watched many I cant help it, but there are many handsome actors but like none (or very few) pretty actresses! I find it difficult to find a british period drama with a main actress that would be pleasent to look at!
I liked this version a little better than the one with Kate Winslet, I have to say. Well, actually I like parts of this version better than the older one, and parts of the older more than this one, so it's 50/50 I guess :)
Where is the full movie? I´m sure, I watched it here on Youtube, but I can`t find it now. Please help me, because I love this version so much and I would like to watch it again!!!!
The period is now, but the theme is timeless, REVERB is a must read about a beautiful, rich, master musician who learns to love someone other than himself. Read it on reverbnovel or jcafesin dot com...
To be honest I own and love both versions of Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Predjudice. The BBC of both though give more of the story from the book while the Hollywood versions are more from the script/book.
Could someone post here the 1995 version of this? I don't think that it's a bad adaptation (I haven't watched it yet) but I rather watch the other version again...I can't help it:)
I like this version so much better than the one with kate winselet, hugh grant and alan rickman! Nothing against them, i still like them as actors, but i just love the version with charity wakefield!
@titanicsbiggestfan it's not a remake, as it's an adpatation of the novel!! everyone has the right to realize it the way he feels!!!! each one of us sees it from an angle, no one could claim that his perception is the best one!!
I have the DVD version of S&S Emma Thompson / Kate Winslet / Alan Rickman / Hugh Grant and I ADORE it, but I must take my aht off to this version and the lady who played Eleanor in this one really sound s like Emma T to me... Maybe its wishful thinking but she played the part really well too.. But Alan Rickman will always be Col. Brandon to me... *swoons* :0)x
i think that depends on the taste. in my eyes, Hugh Grant takes any backbone from Edward. he seems lovely but weak. and i don't like Kate Winslet but that's another story. ^^
i really love the BBC version! Hattie Morahan is a gorgeous Elinor! all other actors are absolutely in their role and the music is just perfect!! =___=

the book is like reading a bunch of 12 year olds gossiping.. i would know cuz i had to grow up with gossiping girls and i had to read the book for a college course lol
Jane Austen is a very good author and the book "sense and sensibility" is a excellent story. I do not think it is like 12 year olds gossiping. In the movies, the one starring Alan Rickman and Kate Winslet is the one I like.

I've just watched the complete series, and it was excellent, best version ever, even better than the 95 version.
David Morrisey and the girl who played Eleanor were brilliant, really enjoyed it.

i can do without the story, the style and innovative/revolutionary thought process behind the authoring is good tho.
