@whatupsuckas2011 I'm left handed so it makes sense for me to keep it on the right side. I will be using irons on my AK74. I've been through a comp m4, a t1 - I really don't believe that an aimpoint belongs on an AK or at least not this AK for many reasons. The Primary Arms dot is OK for the price.

try re-positioning your surefire to the left side of your weapon using a VLTOR offset light mount.
that might help with manipulation of/access to the LED emitter brightness dial.
added benefit - ability to activate the surefire with the thumb on your left hand without moving either hand from the "ready" position.
