Actually, free is regularly taxed. It's called a permit. Laws enacted require permits, and inspections. Permits have a permit application fee, required up front, and require specifications to be submitted, which often must be generated by a certified professional which also costs. There are many new ideas and inventions coming for renewable energy. When gasoline goes to 5 or 6 dollars, people will start looking for other options. Now the government will try to suppress some, it will be some politics involved with most of the new inventions. Hopefully some will be successful. God will help those with the right intentions about their inventions. It must not be just a money/profit scheme. Sacrifices will have to be made to get it to the people. God Bless.

This is a good video...but Oil isn't just used for Energy. Many household and industrial products are made with oil.

There is no such thing is free, because the oil companies will adapt faster than the public will. For example they are already buying rights to the water tables including rain water rights. Collecting rain water is already illegal in 5 states in the Union. We may be able to make energy, but we will have to pay them for use of the water, even if we collect rainwater....

Even if you harvest energy in sun rich regions, the energy is still pretty low density and you use it to transport it. Even more water will get tied up in our civislisation, which results in a spreading of the deserts.

Free? How much did the solar cells tanks compressors ect cost. I believe there is a problem with solar cell as the material to make them will run out when we decide to put solar cells powering everything. But I am quite intrested.
