good cover the crunch sounds better than the original and so what if you play differnt shit it makes you a more rounded diverse player making yourself more marketable for any band ect.BTW the only pop I really listen to is 60's,70's and 80's along with blues,jazz,swing,classic rock and metal.Playing differnt shit also makes you a better player to check out Steve Howe of Yes awesome under rated guitarist.

That was the first thing I did when I bought my Epiphone Les Paul years ago, threw the pickguard away and put in the EMG Zakk Wylde pickup set, lol ... personal preference of course but I think it looked better without it, definitely thinking bout picking this beauty and a 7 String Agile Ghost Pro up in the future

If the flextone isn't doing it for you, the spider isn't going to help out either. It takes everything you don't like about the flextone and magnifies it.
